I'm gonna throw out some names and scenerios.

Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley of Memphis:
They drafted conley out of fear that Lowry would not come back strong off his season ending injury last year. Conley has yet to prove a thing in the nba but he still has his career ahead of him. Their time table is probably next season. Who is gonna wind up being their guy for the future? Navarro looks to be their shooting guard for the time being........with rudy gay also on their team.....could the knicks possibly steal away Mike Miller and Lowry one day?

The Knicks no matter how good or bad they do this year will be in play for a point guard in the upcoming draft.....if they don't trade the pick......who is coming out and do the knicks have a shot at the future point in the 2008 draft?

Calderon is gonna be a free agent one day......so he has to decide if he wants to be TJ Fords caddy all his life. He could bolt or Toronto could keep him and trade TJ.....

Then there is Mardy collins, and Nate. Nate is not afraid and shows signs he can run an offense if given a shot. We already know he can score with anybody. Mardy seems lost in the sauce a la Frye in season 2.

So what's the plan? Any ideas? Preferences?

as much as it pains me to say so, I would love to see that knicks slip into the lottery and get lucky with their pick and get a top 3 in a guard heavy draft.

Next summer or next year Marbury will become tradeable.

Like that.

Isiah made another crucial mistake, he already cost us a future center/sf by missing on Granger and Bynum to clear upgrades over frye for the long term health of the francise and we didn't have a pg and he passes on Lowry who i loved since he is a nova kid gets to the line is tough and plays defense and rondo/farmer/marcus williams for a tweener like nate.

It's not a science Toronto's players aren't unbelievably talented but there is a system in place. I would love to try to get Calderon here. Hopefully we can get him traded here and steal there gm during the summer.

David Lee and Nate Robinson for Miller and Lowry isn't the worst deal out there for either team. They put there future in conely.

i don't think we need an all-star PG to be a good team. just get someone who can run our starting offense and does one other thing well - 3pt bomber, hound the other team's PG on D, whatever. that would be a start.

Now I know how a tatoo artist feels.....

"I want it big but not to big, but I want it to stand out with a lot of color but not to bright. Nothing outragous like skull, I was thinking a golden bunny rabbit on top of a silver unicorn signifying my feelings on global warming. I really need to feel that in the tat. Oh yeah maybe the unicorn is smoking a cigar to remind me of my dad. Oh yeah don't forget the sprinkes......you think you can do that?"

I still want Calderon. Lee for Calderon would be interesting.

I also really like Lowry.

How about Curry, Lee, Fred Jones for Gasol and Lowry?

at this point, calderon is almost an elite point guard. last 3 games with tj out, 37 assists, 1 turnover.

ranked #1 and #2 in pure point guard ratings are calderon and tj ford.

1 calderon - 14.9
2 tj - 10.4
3 paul - 10.3
4 billups - 9.9
5 nash - 8.6

considering tj's health questions, if the raptors trade one of their pg's (which they probably won't), then it's gonna be for a stud. the knicks have nothing to offer toronto unless we end up with a top 5 pick and are willing to trade it.

btw, calderon is on the last year of his contract, which makes him an unrestricted free agent this summer. he was the best move by babdick who signed him cheap and for 3 years...which also means toronto has his full bird's rights.

Darren Collison from UCLA is the pure PG to look out for comming out of the draft. Derek Rose, OJ Mayo, Eric Gordan all come off as SGs to me. Though they have more potential as PGs than Collison.

Derrick Rose is a pure point guard and probably the best one as a prospect since Jason Kidd. I agree on Mayo and Gordon. Darren Collison is a very good defender and is very quick but a lot of scouting reports suggest he is more of a very good back-up in the NBA. I don't know if I agree with that yet because I like his game, but he is a more risky type of pick.

Collison is a nice player......im thinking he would be one of the dudes the knicks would be in play for....bottom lottery or mid first.

What's up with this kids injury?I was looking for him the other night on TV but they said he was hurt.

Ive been trying to follow him this season, but he has been hurt. He did play his first game the other day though.

How good do you guys think Bayless will be? The are comparring him to Jay williams. I never seen him play and I never liked Jay Williams......

Derrick Rose is my favorite out of all the college guys but top 3 lottery? Sheesh. It would suck to suck then lose out on a top 3.......1-8 look to be some elite players coming out though.

The last thing I want to see is Isiah Thomas armed with a 21 million dollar expiring contract. For our situation, 21 million dollars is only worth it if we can get back a SUPERstar. And no I'm not talking about the highly overrated Gilbert Anus. But before we start thinking about the draft or adding players through trades, we need to first think about how we go about dumping Curry, Randolph, Crawful, Jeffries, James, and Q. I'd hate to have a top 3 pick and have to play him with Randolph and Curry on this team. That would be a waste.

Jacks a good choice. So is Lowry. How about Delonte West?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

kinda disagree. Do you see how easily Jamal gets Curry baskets? And he is only a part time PG. If we had a PG that knew how to run a team, create the proper spacing on the outside, feed the post, know mismatches, can run the pick-n-roll to death... they would be pretty dang good with Curry and/or Randolph.

Now, I would like to see one of curry or Zbo traded for a player that compliments.
