Its official. LeBron's not human.

I mean 31, 8 and 8!!! Plus 2 steals, 1 block! 50% from the field!

Those aren't All_star numbers. Those are All-wolrd numbers. Hell, All-universe numbers.

Has anyone ever averaged numbers like that in the history of the game? Outside of Wilt that is. And he's only 22!

I don't know, I'm speechless.

Oscar did average a triple double in his second season. In his first, third, fourth and fifth, he averaged a double double with at least 9 in the third category. Here's the stats from his first five nba seasons - the order is rebounds, assists, then points.
10.1 9.7 30.5
12.5 11.4 30.8
10.4 9.5 28.3
9.9 11.0 31.4
9.0 11.5 30.4
Oscar led the nba in assists in eight seasons.

Here's an interesting question.

If Oscar Robertson was so amazing, why is he not widely acknowledged as the best ballplayer ever, instead of Michael?

Now, I never saw the Big O play, but you can't average double digit assists every season without being a team leader. His offensive output was obviously amazing, and he could board like Kareem.

Is it the aggressive winner thing?

And is it the same reason why Kobe is widely recognized as the best ballplayer in the league, not LeBron?

we need to unload some of these contracts for shorter term ones to set ourselves up to be in a position to go after the big names in a couple years... fat chance of that ever happening... the Zach trade pretty much proves that this team will never look to cap flexibility as a means to rebuild

we should have tanked the year he came out- not that cleveland wasn't going to get him.

Agree about cap flexibility- but the best way to add franchise talent is to draft it.

believe me, i was screaming for this team to tank that season when Lebron, Melo, Wade & Bosh were coming out in the draft... i got a lot of bashing for it, we won just enough games to miss out on the playoffs, & we ended up with Mike Sweetney... the rest is history.

2010 he will be a free agent. We will only have 28 mill on the books as of right now. i would tank for 2 years and then get him with a lottery pick that year too.

he has an opt out clause that he's almost assured to excercise after next season as does Kobe & Dwayne Wade... not sure what Bosh & Melo's contract situations are like, but if they signed similar deals as Lebron then all of those guys will be available that year... to have a huge market team like the Knicks incapable of even making an offer to any of those guys is a joke.

If the knicks do not get him when he opts out i will instantly switch teams. I will never watch another knick game except to root against them. My 31 years of frustration will be officially over and i will crack open a bottle of dom P.

then plan on burning your Knicks gear in a couple years cuz there's no way in hell now that we have any shot at getting Lebron as a FA.

If the team is managed properly it can happen. This jerkoff isiah will find a way to add more salary this year you watch. Lebron gets a big spike in his nike contract if he comes to NY BTW.

even if we stand pat & do nothing, this team is incapable of making any kind of run at 1 of those big name guys... we need to unload Zach, 1 of either Curry or Jamal, & 1 of either Jefferies or Turd, & replace them w/expiring contracts to even be in the running to make a representative offer... Isiah's moves have landed us so far down in the pits of salary cap hell that there really is no hope to get anyone other than MLE type guys for the next several years.

Marbury & Malik are the only contracts slated to come off the books by the time Lebron, Wade & Kobe can opt out of their contracts & become free agents... that won't be nearly enough to get us under the cap to make any kind of offer to those guys.
