Balk is like a tazmanian devil. All over his defender, your defender, the ball, the rebound, the break, everything. We need that. If he develops a 15 footer, watchout. He already is a phenomenal role player.

D. Lee, is a guy who I like alot as a player, its just that we have what he brings to the table in Balk, except Balk is the much better defender. Lee is developing a post game, but he is bad on defense, I have been watching him very closely. he loses his man on switches, doesn't know where he belongs, and moves very slowly on the perimeter. I love him, but his talents are underutilized here, and he has value. I dont know who we could or ought to get for him, but I'd definitely be testing the waters.

I guess we'd try to get a SF who is a good shooter/defender a full sized big who rebounds and blocks or a pg.

balkman is a matchup player. he plays good 1 game, dissapears for 2-3, hurt for the next 2.

with that said, we do need a change at the SF spot b/c q is giving us nothing offensively. start balk or jeffries (i would go with jeffries).

dlee should've been traded the day we got zach.

I actually like Jeffries at the 3, he plays solid 1-1 D, he just isn't a beast on the boards or a monster defensively, and he has no jumper at all.

I'd start Balk too, and I suspect he'd be getting a lot more time were it not for injuries.

Lee is still useful because in spot situations he can backup the 3 thru 5 positions, and he still has a way of making things haooen that don't show up in stat sheets. I think he'll still have one of the better +/- on the team this year.

That said, if we could get a nice PG with him I'd do it in a second, but I don't think Isiah has it in him to trade, buyout, Hardaway Marbury. Any thoughts of trading Lee need to come secondary to handling the GM/PG situation here.

Truth be told, I don't see Isiah parting with any of Marbury, JC, Lee or Curry. That's his captaincy and core.

Nocioni ate Balkman alive this guy isn't ready to start in the NBA. If it wasn't Balkman's complete inability to guard Nocioni this game wouldn't have even been close.

So yes the Knicks definetly need a serious 3 player. Because its not in Q, Balkman, Jefferies, or Lee.

I think we're so unaccustomed to having two players on a Knicks roster who play hard on both ends of the court and aren't drastically overpaid that we enter a state of shock and think that at least one must be traded. Heck, if we had two Renaldo Balkmans or two David Lees (like literally a twin of the player with identical skills), they'd still be among the players I'd be least likely to trade.

I think people are overrating Balkman's defense. Balkman is good at drawing charges, but I think his man to man defense is not that good. He is a player that likes to play lanes well and draw charges. IF he started Balkman might foul out. It is easy to be aggressive when you are coming off the bench. Because what you are dealing with is a player that has fresh legs compared to player that is a starter.

I really wish Isiah would let Chandler get some burn in the games that we are losing just to see what he can bring to the table.

At the same time Balkman can't be worse than Bionic Back Q.

Bonn are you watching Balkman isn't that good. Im sorry but he got burned and single-handlely put the Bulls back into the game today. Not to mention that Tyrus Thomas licked his chops everytime he came into the paint against him. Balkman isn't that good at best he looks okay in spots on a very crappy team what does that tell you? He's one bad knee injury away from being out of the league entirely. Now if he develops a jumper and learns to knock down a j off the dribble then talk to me but for now he's got a ways to before becoming a respectable pro at least for a good basketball team.

Bitty I am sorry for a girl you do know a lot about basketball. I was wrong about Zach he will take this team to new heights this year. He makes everyone around him better and does all the little things to win games.

It tells me that he's injured and Isiah's an idiot for playing him right now. Balkman was better last year when he was healthy.

You should see her on the court.

As far as Zach, I think you really don't like him because of his off the court behavior. At the same time if we didn't like bad character guys then Anthony Mason should have never been a Knick.

I know im unique in this position but I was never in love with Balkan's game. I lean more towards skilled players not just the raw talent types. Sure if he's 7'2 300lbs but a small forward I think you should have certain skills before you even enter into the league. Especially the small forward position. There's just too much talent at that position throughout the league to bring in a guy who cann't even knock down an open jump shot.
