I'm watching as well... Beasley looks good, but its hasn't been quite as jaw-dropping as I've anticipated. I do like that Beasley ALWAYS boxes out or is around the rebound though.

Beasley hasn't been in the game in a while.......this kid ron anderson jr, son of the dude that used to play for the 76'ers looks good though.

He's got 2 fouls... I suppose they're saving him for the second half, which I'm looking forward to.

Beasley just went for 30 and 10 and I just wasn't all that impressed... the stats are obviously great, but I wouldn't say Beasley made his presence felt. Maybe it was the foul trouble, but I don't know. Let me see him a couple more times but right now he looks like a better Marvin Williams.

Yup and he's a SF that's averaging 30 and 20

He just needs to work on his attitude problem, he was barking in the game at players. That's the reg flag on him and Mayo, although IMO the ref really exaggerated on the push from Mayo.

Sure... but I'd like to see him assert his presence on a mid-major. I know George Mason is better than your typical mid, but still. When I'm looking for future stars, I like to see guys whose presence changes the game... and the game more or less flowed the same with or without Beasley on the court. Like I said, I'm not going to judge him after a game but I just felt he didn't live up to the hype.

He does have a nice jumper... he has a nice game. I'm liking what I'm seeing, but my concerns with Mayo are the extracurriculars. I don't like that he had a huge posse in high school and that he already seems to think he's God's gift to man.

i agree, but the media had a lot to do to feed his ego. When he was in 7th grade, SI wrote an article about him. not even LeBron got that treatment

Good point... do you know anything about Gibson? He's looked really, really good so far and has been the star of the game IMO.

He could be playing against Hofstra, it still doesn't change the fact he was in HIGH SCHOOL 6 months ago!! Being that he is a FRESHMAN, he is still adjusting to a completely different life away from home and for the first time, he's having to deal with a TON of pressure to play up to all the expectations everyone FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD has put on him. I'm sure it's overwhelming, yet, he still came out and at least put up good numbers. More than I can say for that fat wilting uninspired slob Eddy Curry who is currently polluting MSG.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I just want to be clear here. I'm being overly critical though, because right now most people are touting him as the number one overall pick. Considering the Knicks will likely be in contention for this pick, I'm being hyper-critical of Beasley.

So, my critiques are made with the Knicks selection in mind. They are not made to diminish a young, talented player. He is a very good player... I just want to figure out who I'd want the Knicks to take if they get the first pick, second pick, etc.

Right now my board looks like:
1. Rose
2. Mayo
3. Beasley
4. Budinger
5. Koufos

With Batum being the most interesting prospect around, but who knows if I'll get to see any of his games.

I'm a big fan of Budinger and Koufos but no way will they be picked ahead of Donte Green and Eric Gordon.

I see it as.

1. Derrick Rose(Knicks =D)
2. Michael Beasley
3. OJ Mayo
4. Eric Gordon
5. Donte Green
