Curry and Zach need a coach thats going to dig in their asses. These Knicks need a mix of player's coach/displinarian. A coach whose only going to look at their defiencies in practice and focus on that solely. Zach's biggest problem is that he's indecisive when he catches the ball. When he's catching the ball its almost as if he's waiting for the double team to come he needs to catch do a quick look at the defense and either kick it out if its a double team or go into a quick move if its single coverage.
The only way things will open up for Zach is if he kicks the ball out regularly. But right now it is almost guranteed that anyone who receives the 2nd or 3rd pass is putting up the shot. Whether its Jamal, Q, Marbs, Curry, or Zach. There is no offense in place other than a few top of the key screens. And most teams are just sucking their defenses inside while the outside players throw up bricks and the post players force it against 2 or 3 defenders.
Curry is just a lazy ass bastard because thats the only reason why he's only grabbing 2 rebounds in a game. Rebounding is strictly effort there's no science to it just effort and some work.
But even still I would like the Knicks to bring in a defensive minded coach next. Give him the full support of the GM and allow him to implement his game plans and if Curry/Zach or anyone else for that matter doesn't get with the program get rid of their asses.
There is no future and no ceiling, it's time to sit these guys on the bench, let's face it we are losing anyway and play, balkman, lee, chandler, nate and collins the entire game. And you know what the players won't care because there here for their checks.
Are you kidding me have you watched Collins the guy doesn't even look like he belongs in the NBA. Nate come on a 5'7 guy who has plays almost no defense. Balkman is still hurt so I don't know what his deal is or when he'll be 100% healthy but the few times he's played he has not played particularly well. Sure you can play David Lee but alongside who? Malik Rose
Look from top to bottom there has been atrocious playing at every position this season on both defense and offense. So I wouldn't point to one guy in particularly and say "oh he's playing well" because right now NO ONE IS PLAYING WELL.
