I say by next week Isiah will have him starting again. I doubt Isiah really going to hold out on Marbury too long.

Marc Berman's blog said:
Thomas has left open the possiblity of starting Marbury tomorrow night at the Garden vs. the Warriors.

The benching has at best been half assed with regards to the PT. I don't even know what kind of message he's been trying to send.

Isiah's threats don't hold any water

This is what Lebron had to say about Marbury

"I don't know him that well," James said of Marbury. "But I couldn't have a guy like that on my team." -Lebron

I don't know any player that would openly want Marbury on his team, especially after the AWOL episode.

I'm not sure when but I think it's close to happening.

Why?

Isiah keeps stating he will do what he thinks gives the team the best chance to win. Clearly Mardy Collins starting does not give the team the best chance to win. Marbury, if he would just play hard, does.

Therefore I think in the end this episode was nothing short of an epic disaster that never had to happen and Isiah will start Marbury very soon - quite possibly tomorrow.

Although he *might* "protect" him from being announced in the starting lineups where Boo's are VERY CERTAIN to rain down on him.

MSG damage control always in effect: Ever notice how quickly they announce Isiah's name then move on during the intro's? Remember when the coaching staff used to be announced AFTER player intro's? If that's not a move to try to mask the booing of Isiah I don't know what is.

I think it will happen tomorrow night so that he can get more boos than Isiah when he is introduced.

Good points. The funny thing is when you go to the garden most of the fans don't boo Isiah. It's like they have short term memory. IF the Knicks win against GS the fans will be cheering Isiah the next game. As far as Marbury it seems like he really messes up things for himself. He did all that charity work and now all people will remember is this episode with Isiah. When good things are coming his way he does things to break it down.

I think he starts him and the starting line-up intro tomorrow will be very half assed, he won't bring him off the bench for the fans to brace to boo him as he enters the game while we're down double digits to the Warriors in the first qrt. He'll let him get exposed some more as Marbury will contribute to the team's early hole so it's more his fault than I SAY UGH'S tinkering of the line-up. Which begs to question if there will be a line-up change who starts with Starterbury?

You just have to think like a deviant to understand who I SAY UGH really is. It's really sad he has people still supporting him.

If Marbury gets in the starting lineup, the boos will be impossible to notice with the loud music and all that, on the TV at least. But if he's coming off the bench, there will be absolutely NOTHING to cover them. What Isiah does though is beyond me. This team is too unpredictable, in a negative way.

It is not a question who will start.

They said during the Clippers game Sam Cassell went up to Marbury and said,"I hope it is not true what I read in the papers about you trying to snitch on Isiah? I now it is not true right? YOu are suppose to be from ny and you are snitching on a coach?" lol

We have a winner..........wow, Isiah has no power at all. That must be some good dirt. Was Isiah turning tricks with transvestites or something? What an epic disaster this is...

Marbury Regains Starting Job
November 20, 2007 - 12:48 pm
New York Daily News -
Stephon Marbury has regained his starting job, Isiah Thomas announced Tuesday, one week after Marbury went AWOL after learning he was going to be a backup.

Marbury had come off the bench in the Knicks' previous three games and Thomas felt he had played well enough to warrant being a starter again.

Marbury, however, is still upset about the demotion and when asked about the entire episode, said, "To be honest, not a whole lot of good has come out of this."

Thomas was taken aback when told of Marbury's comments.
