Kobe.....

If isiah can get Kobe and manage to hold on to Zach? The sun will probably come out and dry out all the rain.

How? When? Who? What? Where?

Why?

Save us like.....make people stop laughing at our team. If a Kobe trade comes everyone would be on the knicks side again......kinda like Danny Ainge when all of a sudden he had ray and kg.

Im hysterical guys so don't mind me......still, that would probably be the only thing to instantly revitalize the Knick fans and the entire Garden.

I completely agree.

I'm thinking about bringing a sign to the game on tuesday that says "Kobe, please save us"

I know we dont have a great situation here, especially lately - but maybe if Kobe can see past that and think about how the Knicks arent afraid to spend money to put guys around him he will come. Not to mention all the extra money endorsement wise...

If we can't get him, I'd be more than happy with Artest. Atleast one of our guys will play defense before they get suspeneded for half the season or just plain quit on us.

i agree w/u Eny... a Kobe trade would suddenly make this whole Marbury debacle be forgotten & the Zach trade would then take on some semblence of reason & logic... the only bad thing that could possibly come out of Kobe being traded here is maybe Isiah's stay being prolonged, but if Zeke can pull that one off then he'd deserve a stay of execution in my eyes, because obviously the players that would be used to get him would have been Isiah's acquisitions to begin with... after 6 years of suffering, Knick fans deserve something to get excited about... this franchise needs a legitimate franchise player in the worst way imaginable.

Why not promise Kobe that if he doesn't like the way Isiah coaches (assuming the trade allows him to stay) then the Knicks will fire him and bring in a suitable replacement.

I know its generally a bad idea to give a player the keys to the car, but in this case I wouldn't mind it at all.

Just the thought of a Kobe deal makes me think how many of you would bitch and moan about losing an unprotected pick.

i've said it over & over again, the reason you want picks is so u can hopefully someday get a guy w/the talent & ability that Kobe has... speaking for myself, i can guarantee u i would never bitch & moan about losing an unprotected pick if we could get Kobe in a deal, & i don't care if that pick ended up being OJ Mayo either... i never even complained about losing picks in the Marbury trade... the deal ended up being a disaster for us, but at the time i thought it was a risk worth taking... obviously i was wrong on that one, but there's no comparison between the 2 players we're talking about here, let's be honest.

How did you feel about the Knicks giving up picks for Curry? I for one didn't care to much for the picks. Have Kobe in NYK would make them instant contenders in the east. The KNicks have never experienced greatness in the draft since Pat Ewing and they haven't experienced it since. Kobe would be a no brainer.

i won't lie, i was OK with the Curry trade when it was made & still am... i still don't see the greatness in Tyrus Thomas that other people seem to around here, but that's just me... he's not exactly the smartest player in the world, & he's already made some idiotic comments to the media in only his rookie season... i don't think he'll ever even become the player that KMart used to be, but that's just my own guess on the matter... he could go on to prove me wrong just like Marbury did... all power to him if he does... i think it was a good gamble to take & still do.

TMS, why are you so sure we would have picked Tyrus? Isiah always goes against the grain. I'm pretty certain that he definitely would not have picked Noah

i'm not sure about anything... Ty Thomas was the consensus #2 pick so that's who i'm basing this argument on... i can't guess at who Isiah would have picked & argue hypotheticals cuz i really have no idea who that would have been.

Technically he wasn't even the #2 pick. Aldridge was, no?

ur right, CHI traded down for TT... my bad.

Aldridge is a very nice player, & i would love to have him on the Knicks right now, but i have to think the risk was worth taking when Isiah made that deal... really who would have thought this team would have tanked so badly under LB that year after making those trades to upgrade the roster? did you? i sure didn't... it obviously hasn't panned out the way we would have hoped... i can't blame him for doing it though.
