Will play the game of his life tonight. He won't score points but he will shut biotches down on the defensive end and dish the rok like nobodies business. Just you watch. My asse is out there.

My addendum to Bip's prediction:
But just for tonight, and maybe four or five more games, then it's back to being Starbury.

Nope, I think that Marbury will use his time away to replenish himself and I think he may actually play better. You just have to have patience and give him time to develop and mature. And this may finally be the moment where he matures. I can feel it happening and therefore it will be true. Just you watch.

Well, I agree, but the key there is to have patience and give him time. So what happens tonight doesn't really matter, so long as we're patient and give him time to develop and mature.

I haven't flipflopped. I have just been reading more of Nixluva's posts and it's scary, but he's really starting to make sense to me.

he's gonna pull up lame in the 2nd quarter & sit his ass out of the rest of the games until the Knicks negotiate a buyout... then he'll sign w/a contending team & be the consummate pro & teammate for about 3 months, & then revert back to being the same idiot he's been over most of his career & wear out his welcome over there
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

UH...WHAT? I'm speechless! Maybe this is some sort of Omen. Either the Knicks are gonna turn it around or Armeggedon is about to break loose :)

Bip, just curious: What would you do with the Prodigal Son in this situation?

Based on what I know of Marbury I would want him completely off my team. As a coach I have no use for players that cry and run away at their first challenge. Since this is about the 8th time he has rebelled against a coach at some point you have to cut ties.

Best case scenario, a suspension would be due. Followed by him earning his way back into the line-up by proper practice habits and a commitment to team, shown by his extreme effort in play during those few minutes I give him during blowouts The worst thing you could do is give the guy his job back and kiss and make up. It just validates everything.

If he had some shiot against me that he could leak to the press, his asse would be in the starting line-up and I would call plays only for him and allow him to sit in a chez lounge while the rest of the team plays D.
