Don't forget games against Phoenix and NJ to open December. 2 games that they have no chance of winning.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

earl - you funny

do you knowingly put up a brave front, or are you in delusional denial that the situation is grave?

Panos - last time I checked, the world was still spinnin' and tonight's game has not been cancelled due to panic in the streets.

purple's forecast of 2-12 or 3-11 will not make one iota of difference whether I open a bag of Jiffy Pop tonight and follow the run online while I'm on deadline.

Brave? Nah. But I ain't no punk who roots for my beloved team to lose either.

I plays 'em one at a time

Who the hell said anything about the world stop spinning?
Purple cited his opinion on the upcoming games, and you objected.
I'm asking if you really think things are rosy, or you just in denial.

Panos - if you wanna split hairs, I didnt object to his opinion. I simply said I'm still watching to see what actually happens.

what would be the point of watching certain defeat?

Did you find it the least bit curious that purple posted the start times and broadcast network? Now, why would he do that?

Oh, I'm not rooting for losses. I mean, when we were 2-1 & looking at a 3 point shooting, fool's gold team like Orlando & a Wade-less Miami team, I had visions of an enjoyable season. 42-40 would have been enjoyable. But, its hard to imagine that this team won't die an ugly & quick death in the next 2 weeks.

purple - the next two weeks will definately be no time for crybabies. Whether they are bitching and moaning over minutes or Isiah or Dolan or David Lee or ... Eddy, Zach and Malik Rose.

did you really expect the season to be boring?

People predicted a tailspin last year after the suspensions and they proved everyone wrong. Don't be so sure that this team can't win some games. There are winnable games on the schedule and I expect this team to compete and get some of those wins.

truth be told, if David Lee didn't have half his layups thrown back in his face, the Phoenix game is not the blowout that some predicted either.

let's see how much fight these guys have before putting them in the ground and throwing dirt on them

I think we'll beat GS or CHI. Plus Sac. Bucks.

Everything else is up in the air.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

No you're making it seem like there wasn't a positive response to the turmoil and you KNOW there was. Just because later things turned sour, doesn't discount the way they responded at that time. COME ON MAN! Can we stop with the endless bashing of EVERYTHING this team does?

There are many players on this team that give max effort when they go in the games and just because we have a couple of guys that don't people are so fast to discount all the other guys who do give effort. They want to blow up the whole team as if there are no good players on the team with which you can build a team with. Steph is one player. When the team settles down I fully expect that they will win their fair share of games. We didn't stink completely. We needed better defense on the perimeter and I believe there are better defenders on this roster who can help if given the chance. Even before this Steph crap, I fully expected that we'd see those players get a shot to help this team.

"Win some games"? Sure we'll win some games. Show me an NBA team that ever did not "win some games."

I give up. You and earl are right! We should still make the playoffs.

It's like self-flagellation reading some of these posts.

How about you stop giving the team a PASS for EVERYTHING that they do?
Especially, when you've been wrong year after year?
I would just like to hear something realistic in one of your posts
instead of "I expect" and "They should be better because".
