David Lee or Zach Randolph? Why I say this is because I think it is essential for our teams progression towards the playoffs and beyond to have David Lee in the starting line-up. I think right now he is more of a power forward. I would let Zach run the 3 because he can spread the floor with his offense. Only problem with that is defense but David is no Bruce Bowen either. If we have a line-up of Marbs, Crawford, Zach, Lee, and Curry with Nate, Balk, Q, and Jeffries (Yes Jarlip Jeffries should be in the rotation) coming off the bench we get balanced starting 5 (Lee is not looking to score) with a strong defensive bench squad.

u can't have Zach at the 3 cuz he'll get torched on D by quicker swingmen in the league... since Q is obviously not playing up this standards, i'd say start D Lee at the 3 for now & give Wilson Chandler some burn off the bench to see if he can handle guarding NBA 3's, w/Balkman obviously getting extensive time at the 3 as well... rotate Curry & Zach at the 5, w/Lee shifting over to the 4 when Balk gets on the floor.

Wilson "im a grown man" Chandler. Once he gets the chance to play with starters opposing teams will sleep on him the kids gonna be a outside shooter/ slasher ala richard jefferson
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

David Lee should not start at the 3. He is not a smart defensive player. He loses his man on D often, and looks horrendous on pick and rolls. IMO, he is our worst defensive player behind Crawford.

I would Start Balk, essentially the same player as Lee with better defense all around.

i wouldn't mind starting Balk, but i think he's best suited as an energizer off the bench... D Lee in the starting rotation helps alleviate some of the lack of rebounding we get out of Curry on a consistent basis... i agree w/u about his defense tho... my ideal would be to have Wilson Chandler get a chance to prove he can play at this level & eventually win that starting spot... he provides offensive scoring skills as well as being athletic enough to guard guys on the wings.

I wouldent go that far... Lee is not a good perimeter defender but not our overall worst defender behind jamal.. no way

None of the bitches have a jumper. Lee has a pathetic jumper, Balkman's is none existant. Jefferies might be your best bet at sf.

How about Qyntel Woods? Isn't he buried on the bench somewhere?

Exactly right on that analysis. There is nobody Lee can guard man-to-man.

^ Someone lost sight of Eddy Curry....
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Wison Chandler is the knicks best player at the 3.

God help us all.

Edit: You know......what's stopping isiah from playing chandler? Also what's the deal with letting Nichols go?

Is age and experience a factor now? Why all of a sudden?

Richard jefferson, even though I can't stand the bastard, would be a perfect fit here with the knicks. His game would complete the inside outside game with his slashing/ rebounding/ ball handling explosive game........who has been compared to him reciently? Wilson chander........I think its only a matter of time.....by then I think isiah will be fired.

Chan need minutes.... some minutes.
Same is true for Mardy, Lee, Balk, Morris.
And IT has no minutes for them because he MUST win now to stay alive.
There is no tomorrow and so no time for the youth

Based on what I've seen it's a toss up between Lee and Balkman depending on what philosophy that Isiah wants to adhere to that game. Chandler is definitely a dark horse.

Collins should get a shot, because he isn't really a point guard.

The guy is a plus defender(That's a term I like to use for guys who effect the game with Steals/Blocks/rebounds) and he does appear to be a stopper, even though it's early. Q and Jeffries really don't have either of these skills.

And he is good at moving the ball, plus he can get to the paint(Jeffries and Q are not good at this either).

So I would give him a shot at the starting three since Isiah is dead set against Balkman starting and Chandler playing at all.

Why is Collins "not really a point guard?" Please explain.

Because his point guard skills aren't very good. His passing and dribble are shooting guard good at best. He would great with a AI or some situation like that, but his ability to create and pass are not very good. He's a combo Guard with no offense, or a defensive small forward with handle. Actually he is JJ-2 if JJ2 was good.

Collins is a Point Forward IMHO.

The answer is obvious: Fred Jones.
