It's gonna take more than 2-7 to send Isiah packing.

I think we can beat Los Angeles and Sacramento. Miami too actually.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

We need to aggressively go to Curry at the start of the game against the Heat. Shaq is having major problems staying out of foul trouble and it doesn't seem to take much to tire him out. If we can get Shaq out of the game we should be able to win the game by taking it inside.

Why be so pessimistic about what we might do on the road? We have to take this one game at a time and so does the team. you can't count the entire road trip all at once.

Are you saying this based off of this last loss? I hope we're not gonna be on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with this team. You have to know that this team is't perfect and they're gonna lose games. I think you also have to shake off bad games and not listen to those who want to make it seem like this team is exactly the same as last year. We've got some serious defensive issues, but this was never gonna be a good defensive team anyway. You know that! We win with good Offense and just enough D. That's what we are at this point. I'm not under any delusions that this team is gonna totally change it's nature all at once.

Q and Curry actually had good defensive games, but not enough of the rest of the team did a good job and we got off games from Jamal, Nate, Curry and Lee. That's not gonna happen every night, so don't be so sure that we're gonna lose all these road games.

^ Curry doesn't have a chance at Shaq.

Shaq will just stand there. How is Curry gonna body him up is the question.

I disagree about Curry having a good defensive game. Defense is also measured in rebounding, which he did little to none of. Howard was able to rip down 20 on his watch. And there were far too many uncontested layups.

I agree with you......but the knicks continue to make fools out of us.....we just can't all it....knicks play to their competition....sigh.....

5-4 would be ok.....2-7 would be tough to take.

This is true. I was speaking of how he was defending Howard man to man and also he challenged a few shots and was more active. I think he was taken out of the game mentally by the tussle with Foyle and the lack of touches. He's got to get mentally stronger when it comes to nights like this. Van Gundy did the right thing taking Howard off of Curry, cuz Howard wants no part of Curry. If you have the game on tape just look at how often Howard simply backs away and lets Curry score. He did this last year too. He's scared of fouling out and he just does not man up against Curry. So Van Gundy kept Foyle in to fight with Curry and it worked.

It looked to me that when we played some D, ANY D, that we were clearly the better team. IF this had been a normal night for Jamal and we played the kind of D we did in the 1st half, I think we would've beaten then relatively easy. Lewis and Turk are pretty limited and we let them get off some open looks. The TO's were a big problem and in the 1st 3 games we had that under control. This game we got sloppy and they scored off of that. The magic score off of broken plays too. that's where your point about Curry not rebounding comes in. Cuz if he's grabbing more rebs. that keeps them from getting some of those open 3's off broken plays.

So you think Steph is better that Nelson, Q is better that Lewis, and Eddy is better that Howard?
Are you on drags?
We have double-double Zach with zero defence, 2 half-ass players in Eddy and Craf, broken down Marbs who cannot move side-to-side any more, and bunch or role players.
How this can be better that Orlando?
And I forget - they have REAL GM and coach. Not the f..n joke "we should give them credit..., blah, blah, blah"

I think we will beat Miami and the Kings. We also have a chance against the clippers even though they are undefeated and Denver. I think we will be 4-5 after this road trip, which would not be bad.

the thing we have to keep an eye on is the way they play in the next two games. miami is the game that worries me. miami hasn't won yet and they could be in desperate mode and come out the gate swinging. it will be interesting to see how we respond. we have to win that game if we want to be taken seriously. thomas made such an emphasis about shoring up the homestand, it could blow up in his face if they lose to miami and then go on the road when his team would probably lose confidence.

I believe we can do at least 2-2 on the road trip. Suns and Kings are beatable. Suns have lost to Lakers and Hawks and are not playing at their best, it's the Clips and Nuggets I absolutely don't think we will beat.....we'll see!!

On any other team outside of NYC, rookies and younger players feel more comfortable playing at home in the NBA.

This is why in the 90's knick team only wanted veterans guys who aren't easily rattled playing in front of the movie stars and the NY media at MSG.

Do not be surprised if the knicks win on this road trip.

Did anyone else notice Mardy (MR.Steady) Collins was a nervous wreck acting like a highschool freshman on his handle and his free throws at crunchtime.

Isiah knows what he has there with Mardy playing at MSG.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Suns - L
Clippers - L
Kings - W
Orlando - L
Miami - W

2-3 + 2-3 = 4-6 over the first 10. Not bad all things considered - if you consider them on a realistic level.

Not what we want.......but not the end of the world, either.

Yes.
They are not a well constructed team.
Isiah is not the GM to fix the same mess he made.
Isiah is not a very good coach although who could coach this roster? Nobody.

The other things you'd consider if you thought this was a team on the rise which I really don't but they are still considerations.

Injuries
New Faces.

As to injuries it's no longer an excuse when the same guys are always injured it's just reality that they are injury prone and not to be counted on.

New faces: Well, stop making changes, then stop realizing the changes you made stunk and trying to make more changes.

Yet, they are considerations all the same and factor in to a potential ceiling of ~41 wins and a possible playoff berth.

Not happy with it, just analyzing it for what it is.
