He looks so confident out there this year. And his athleticism is still sick. He pretty much jumped over Rip Hamilton on that block.

He and Noah are going to be a lethal combination. It's going to be like having 2 AK47 on the team maybe even better.

not sure that 8 pts/7 reb/2 blk/2 ast on 40% shooting & 41% free throws in 28 minutes is really something to get overly excited over... everyone knew this kid was an athletic freak when he was drafted... give Balkman those minutes & he puts up those #'s easily if not better IMO

He's talking about the game tonight- Tyrus has 18 and 10 on 8/10 shooting so far, early 4th.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

He reminds me of string bean Camby less 2 inches.

Balkman reminds me of Camby as well, less 5 inches but way better handle. Seriously his handling is much better than i give him credit for.

Balk will take you coast-to-coast and end it with a dunk. His handles are deadly in the open court.

Yeah he finished with like 20/15. He got man handled by Sheed on the low block on several plays yet at the same time made it very difficult for Sheed and played him well in the final 2min.

yea, that is way over the top.. LOL.. both guys together don't have the skills AK has. I don't know if people really watch AK, the guy is a superb passer, on and off the ball defender and a better scorer than tyrus and noah may ever be... I mean come on.... LOL..

I didn't say they currently are the equivalent to AK47 I said they have the makings of becoming him. They have the ability to rebound, block shots, pass, finish on lead and finish a break, score inn traffic strong, play great post and help defense. Tyrus has a 12ft jumper now but they both need to improve their perimeter shooting.

you just described quite a few players in this league... A lot of players have "the makings". The problem I have with both tyrus and noah is their skill level. Neither I think will ever become good enough scorers to take them to that next level, meaning AK-47 type all around player. Did you see noah shoot FT's ? worst form known to mankind.. tyrus relies on athleticism, but the guy doesn't seem to think much when he is on the court, stupid mistakes, he is just to hyper, sort of like Dan gadzurich in that way. guys like that are good off the bench, give them enough minutes to come in and energize a team, but not too many minutes to do stupid shyt like touching your teamates jumpers before they go in the rim....

Tyrus Thomas has definetly worked on his game over the summer.

He's showing m things I thought he didn't have.

I was truly impressed !
