He's matched Duncan very well tonight.

bulls fans will question whether paxson made the right choice.

isiah said eddy was better than anybody in the 2006 draft. we'll see.

trading zach and oden getting hurt gives aldridge a huge opportunity, and he looks like he might be up for it. he's not getting down there to board but he is scoring on duncan and co.

Brandon Roy is better than Curry. Heck I'd even take Balkman over Curry.

How many boards did aldrige have tonight? I am not sure, I heard someone say a total of 3 boards..... So this is OK for a big man. I mean since curry catches hell for grabbing 6......

He was active on defense.

His stats (or lackthereof) had substance.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

He had 2 blks 1stl and 1TO... how many games will we see in a row where Curry can't even duplicate this? LA does need to improve his rebounding though but let's not act like the dude doesn't provide defense he avg over 1blk/gm in his rookie yr logging just 22min/gm.

hopefully this puts down the rest when players compare Tyrus Thomas to Eddy McCurry when in reality it's LaMarcus Aldrige vs. Eddy McCurry.

Although if Isiah had the pick 2 years, I'd say Brandon Roy would be a Knick
some Knick fans accept mediocrity as excellence .... I don't!

We have already seen this to be completely false. I would take Brandon Roy--hands down--over Eddy Curry. Roy is far and away the better basketball talent.

I caught the highlights. It looks like aldridge was busting duncans ass. Spurs still won. How bout webster? He was damn good too.

Thank God frye isn't a Knick anymore.

Well he definitely has a better name than Eddy.
LaMarcus. Is that French? "the"Marcus?
Years ago, a coworker of mine used to call me "the" Panos.
But his grasp on the English language and use of articles was obviously lacking.

Maybe I'll go for some French flavor too. Y'all can call me LePanos from now on.

Actually "La" in french is the female form of "the"! ;-)
So you were fine to pick "LePanos" cause that would be the male form!!!

too bad that substance didn't translate into a win.... lets not be hypocrites... 3 boards are 3 boards man....

I watched the game. Aldridge was very impressive offensively. He had the best pro body on the court, but he didn't play inside at all.

Frye was in a better position with the Knicks, Aldridge plays the exact same game except he is better at it (From what I have seen.), and they are turning the team over to Aldridge this year, which is the right decision. I think Frye will be traded again this season.

The Blazers are going to be terrible this year if they play the same way they did yesterday. They might be 1-2 with the Sonics again.

There was no team play except when Blake was on the court, it was all one on one "juke and shoot". Roy is very talented but his style of play reminds me of Marbury, he's going for his own and if he can't get it, only then he is passing the ball. Unless this is an aberration I think they should trade Roy for a traditional PG, because the focus should be on Aldridge and Oden.

P.S. if 27 points and 3 boards is bad for Curry, then it's bad for Aldridge too. I think Randolph is a better player than Aldridge at this point.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Channing Frye was terrible. He has a golden opportunity to win the center spot there (arguably his best position).

Hey you guys realize what got the Blazers Aldridge?

Portland acquires the Draft rights to LaMarcus Aldridge and a future second-round pick from Chicago for Viktor Khryapa and the Draft rights to Tyrus Thomas.

nbadraft.net

I hated Aldridge, but just saying......

Eddy Curry is making a lot more than this kid who is in his second year in the league. Eddy is not a good player the trade killed the franchise especially since we got a player better than eddy the in zach for practically nothing.
