He just looks as out of shape as can be, and he has more potential than BOTH Randolph and Lee, yet those 2 are playing MUCH more active and are making more of an impact. To top it off, the game plan was to have Randolph as the guy to stay on the perimeter while they have Curry pound guys, yet Curry is working on his jump shot more than anything else this Summer. It is JUST pre season, but this is very alarming to me.

Wait a minute. Curry looked good against the Nets, and by most accounts, he reported to camp in good shape. So he sturggles a bit tonite and now he's not in shape?

I didn't see most of the Nets game, so don't throw that criticism towards me. I'm watching the entire game today, and this is what I see. I see Curry not helping AT ALL on the help defense and I see him playing El Matador defense. He's also not fighting for rebounds and looks confused on the offense. And by most accounts is pretty much the players and coaches on the Knicks, who would be fired for making negative press about their own team and teammates, besides maybe Isiah himself. In my eyes, he looks fat and out of shape, and he's playing like it. Zach and Lee are playing much much better together.

Curry's not gonna do the brutally hard work necessary to reach his potential. We didn't need year 7 of his career to realize that. He is what he is: a very good low post scorer under single coverage who isn't motivated to improve in any of the other areas of the game. This should come as no surprise by now.

Zach and Lee are playing much much better together.
I think a wise poster has been saying all off-season that those two should be in the starting lineup and make lazy eddy come off the bench.

Nobody is agreeing or disagreeing with that. But a wiser poster said "No way is that gonna happen, so you might as well not bother coming up with that scenario."

You talkin' 'bout the game where the Knicks got blown out and Eddy had 4 rbs in 33 min to go along with 0 assists and 4 turnovers? Yeah, he did his one-dimensional act and put some points on the board. Big deal. I definitely wouldn't cite that as evidence in favor of Eddy.

No, a lot of posters WERE disagreeing with that. I remember things like "Zach's not a natural C. We must start Eddy" (as if Eddy were a C just because he's 2 inches taller than Zach while playing as if he were 2 feet shorter).

Although EY had foul trouble mainly due to complete utter laziness but case in point..... tonight

Eddy does what he does, score on the low block. I don't expect him to be Ben Wallace, what I would like to see from him is better passing and better D. I think the reason that Zach looks better with Eddy on the bench is strictly because of David Lee. Simply put, David Lee is great at what he does, and because he is the kind of player that he is. He allows the other big man to just concentrate on what they do best. In other words, he hides their flaws. We were saying the same thing last year, that Lee should start because he matched up better with Eddy, now its the same thing with Zach.

Its really time to stop defending this lump of ****, he is an awful ball player, no intensity whatsever, the knicks major problem is the baby bulls anytime crawford and curry are out there the knicks have little passion.

Eddy was up to his old tricks tonight trying to force his body into people. This experiment has zero chance of working the frontcourt defense is scary when the two of them were out there. He is grossly out of shape, look with your own eyes, reports are false as usual. The knicks would be so much better off its scary with Thomas and Noah, that trade is gong down as the worst of isiahs tenure. You can't mesh these two guys together because zach and eddy are very selfish you rarely see the ball once they get it and they turn it over and don't defend. Much more fluid when lee is out there.

What do you mean Eddy Curry is throwing some major red flags "right now"? He's had major red flags his entire career, starting with the fact he wanted to be a gymnast as a kid, not a basketball player.

tkf I've said since day one he doesn't look 20lbs lighter. His face is not as bloated but otherwise he looks like his normal 285lb playing self. He does nothing for us defensively. A lot of his defensive struggles center around him not even trying to play D. If he'd just try he might get good at playing it.

Who really even cares if Curry is fat or not? If he's fat and manages to be great then fine.

Currently, however, he sucks. A lot. It's ridiculous to think that this man was actually going to be our FRANCHISE PLAYER. Get this schmuck off team. I don't know any franchise big men who couldn't play D and rebound the ball. Not to mention that the only thing this guy can lead is his way to McDonald's.

Not if anyone noticed, Curry is trying to play with a mean streak which is good to see, he will get better. Not worried.

The only meanness I could ever see coming from Eddy would be stealing other people's food.
