Your looking at 40+ million coming off the books. Keep stock piling the rookies to go arouud KG who is a free agent next year. I see why the Knicks aren't trying to get Vujanic here as quickly as possible adding him now will only hinder sign of free agents next year because his salary would go towards the cap right away. There is a method to this maddness its just that Dice was a big disappointment. I'm think the Knicks are probably the only team that can support KG and his monster contract and still add players to go along with him.

I fear the same thing but then Dolan has the no spending rule. They aren't even spending to get the best PG in Europe here. I'm ok with this no spending policy for now. If they do try and improve the team it has to be for ending contracts. They need to get as many rookie contracts on the team as they can.

VMART & PIKE: Yea but with $40MIL coming off the cap, $46mil + FA's we sign is not bad !!! ( from $96mil )

I know where your going with this, It doesn't take into consideration the rise in salary of certain players. Namely Houston, Eisley and Anderson. I guess you are right Pike but you still gotta admit even if they get it down to 50-55 mil its a big step in the right direction.

What is being forgotten here is that the knicks salary is aroung 95 mil, so dropping 40 will still leave them over the cap at around 15 mil, and if you lose all those players you have to replace them, and even if you do so with rookies that will be around another 6 -10 mil a year for about 5 nore players so again you around 25 mil over the cap.

You see the problem with guys like eisley, spoon, and anderson is that they each are getting too much loot collectively they are making around 14 mil more per year than they should, just imagine what we could really do with that loot....
