Is it just me, or did anyone see similarities between them in the preseason game?

I mean, they have the same body type, size, speed, athleticism, and they are both "shoot first PGs".

Since Isiah supposedly drafted Fred Jones for Indiana, does that mean that the Lovers are going to count Jones as another 1st rd pick for the Knicks?

That must be why Isiah is adamant on keeping him.

See I dont get this, why do you want to go out of your way to discredit a player on your own team???

I am not TRYING to discredit Fred Jones, he has done it all by himself. He is not the defensive stopper that is going to get us over the top. We should be trying to get Nichols signature to a piece of paper as fast as possible. It is a shame he isnt ALREADY signed, but yet Fred Jones has a spot on this team? Nichols is already extremely skilled and he has the potential to get even better. Why chance that by signing Fred Jones? Why? Why?

For goodness sakes Sebastar Fred Jones' feet were in the air. He was lying on his backside as Kobe took an open jumper. Lying down!!! Is that the defensive stance that Isiah thinks will help out this Knick team. We should be trying to get rid of the scrubs on this team!!!

Looked like a pretty good play to me. He held Kobe to two points.

I thought Fred Jones was an undersized can't shoot, can't score SG.

This was never the goal... The goal was to win.
Without scrubs anyone can win. Isiah want to win with scrubs.
Otherwise how he will prove that he is the genius?

you're seriously going to base your view of the man's defensive abilities on this one play where he fell because Kobe stepped on his foot as he was leaning back. have you ever played basketball before? it happens...

you found a video discrediting Fred Jones, now can you back up your statements about Nichols being so skilled by showing a video of him doing something other than hitting open jumpshots? Hubert Davis lite anybody?

Yeah lets judge peoples defense by the way they guard the player in the league who no one can guard. That makes perfect sense.

I have no problem with Jones as the 10-15th man. He's a solid defender with a limited game. That's what your 10-15 man is supposed to be. I would prefer Nichols but I'm not going to kill Isiah for keeping Jones over Nichols. What I will kill Isiah for is keeping JJ period. Let's hope that I don't have to carry this out
I just hope that people will like me

fred jones is nowhere good enough on offense to stay on the court for more than 7-8 minutes. not to say those 7-8 minutes won't be important minutes but he's not that good a player. plus he's 6'2. his role is to play the bridge minutes between quarters.
