Curry could miss preseason with shoulder injury
By MARC BERMAN

CHARLESTON - Could things get any worse for the Knicks? They broke camp this morning with the most dreadful news - Eddy Curry has suffered a shoulder injury that could put him out for preseason. The scary thing is they don't know for sure. He'll have an MRI tonight in Columbia, S.C. for the full diagnosis.

The Knicks face the Sixers in Columbia tomorrow for their preseason opener with no Eddy or Jerome James. So much for Eddy and Zach establishing chemistry in preseason.

Curry said his goal is to be back for the season opener Nov. 2 in Cleveland. He said he'll probably need to rehab it. Curry injured the shoulder Friday in a post-up drill with David Lee, getting entangled. He felt "sharp pain'' last night. The good sign is he finished practice.

No excuses there have already been several injuries to start camp. All that weight EY supposedly lost with the defined muscles and upper body now his body can't take the physical beating. Get back healthy soon EY excuses will not be tolerated. Man why didn't I SAY UGH sign Adonyl Foyle?

I hope Isiah starts Zach and Lee together at C and PF. Don't rush back, Eddy!

Damn! This sucks! Perhaps the one player we cant afford to go out for any amount of time (especially when we need Curry and Zach to get as much court time together as possible) goes down. Hopefully it isn't serious.

Hell no. There is no way I want to see Zach play center.Zach playing center during short periods in games is different from playing center for 35 plus minutes. Centers get banged up all the time. This is why Duncan does not want to play center. Duncan rather someone else do it while he plays the Pf spot. Zach is also coming off an operation.

This also means that Pork Chop James is here to stay.

Zach is not a center. Not even close. He is 6-9 tops with no lift. He has arms that are like 12 inchs wide. Guys like Dalembert and Howard throw his shots back easy and often. Zach is a PF. Zach will not be a Center for this team playing 30-40 minutes a night. He could play it in spot duty depending on who goes against him but no way full time. James and Morris will be called to step up.

see this is why i love the big game. this is the look of a man who has given his all for the team. the fact that he had been on the court for exactly one minute when this photo was taken is entirely irrelevant.

Don't the Knicks have a 7 foot center on their roster that Isiah signed to a max contract with the intention that he would be their starting center? That's what Isiah keeps telling us.

So guess what? NO EXCUSES

We should resign him to a contract extension now before he wants more money later.

What 7 foot player did Isiah sign to a Max contract?

The only 7 footer on the roster is James and he signed a Mid Level Exception contract not a Max contract.
