Ward as coach with Allan Houston as GM! We know nothing about their abilities at those positions but I still think it couldn't be worse than what we have.

Hell to the no. Charlie Turn Over Ward needs to coach football or the local Checker Team. Do you really think Marbury would listen to Ward? If you said Derek Harper I would agree. I really doubt Ward would get any respect from the players.

Ward had been a target of Marbury's before. Two years ago, in his first season with the Nets, Marbury said the Knicks would never win a championship with Ward and Chris Childs at point guard.

''I have great respect for Marbury, I do think he's the best point guard in basketball,'' Van Gundy said today, ''and yet I think our guys are very good for our team.''

Ward has steadfastly refused to respond to Marbury's remarks over the years. And despite his words following the last Knicks-Nets game, Van Gundy would not either.

''I don't think that in itself, what happened at the end of the game, has any bearing on this game'' he said.

Of Ward's demeanor, Van Gundy added: ''I think it is unique for people, not just players. Charlie is tough on the court. I mean that in a good way for Charlie. Charlie has not, and never has, backed down in any manner.''

Ha Ha Ha you are not gonna drag me into that kind of talk!! I think that Charlie Ward is smart. The best coaches are not always the best players. Marbs can do all the talking he want's and I respect that about him. Now he has to deliver. If he dosen't then he is gone. I believe that if Ward was the Coach He would not have a problem with Marbs because if Ward was the coach Marbs would be on his way out the door. Hey maybe Ward may not be a good coach. I just put it out there for discussion.

There are enough wars already over religion. The knicks don't need anything as divisive in the locker room.

I didn't shed a tear when Clyde Fraizer, Dollar Bill, Mark Jackson,John Starks ,Pactrick Ewing,Earl The Pearl Monroe all left so I don't think I'll shed one for Marbs. I did shed a tear when Bearnard King got injured I beleive him and Patrick Ewing playing together would have got us a championship if King was at full strenth. What a shooter he was. He could score 50 points making it look easy.
