I call the Lakers and give them whoever they want. Because its Kobe.

+1

I've posted this deal before and it's the move I'd make:

Lee
Curry
Crawford
Dickau
Jones
picks (I've heard we're not allowed to offer a pick this year because of last year's swap though)

for

Kobe

Any move that the Knicks could make for Bryant would gut the team in other positions to the point where we wouldn't have the horses to go all the way with him during the next few years that his game is still on a very high level. If we can't do that, there's no point bringing him here.

i don't understand why the Lakers would want Curry over ZBo... they already go Bynum and a post-up PF without heart problems would fit nicer.

Everyone and two or three first round protected picks, except Curry. I think you have to have the vision of interior dominace along with perimeter dominance. It would be the closest thing to having Kobe with Shaq again. I'm not saying Curry is Shaq but its close.

No way, we have more depth than any team in the league. If we trade Lee, we have Balkman. If we trade Nate, we have Mardy. If we trade Nichols, we have Chandler. If we trade Curry, we have ZBo.

We're in position to make a trade without it hurting too much if someone wants to deal an All-Star.

Cablevision is making deals not from basketball point of view but from business point of view.
So trading for Kobe is no-brainer regardless of what we will give up.
I guess Dolan will keep Marbs (jerseys sales) and Lee (he will have pretty good endorsements shortly and a bunch of white folks to distribute tickets).
All the rest of the crew is expandable.
However comparing to what Dolan can make on Kobe even this 2 can be shipped.
Money talks!!!

Kobe would bring in more money than any player on our team and maybe even all our players combined. Isiah and Dolan would offer anyone on the roster and an indefinite number of unprotected draft picks to get Kobe.

Any and everybody and anything the Lakers could possibly want on this squad.

Why? Because Kobe is the best player in the game and would make the Knicks respectable again.

Chicago Tribune: Wrapping up the FIBA Games
Bryant: He was quiet here on his demands to be traded, though privately is said not to have changed his mind. It seems unlikely the Lakers will make a move now, or even this season.

With coach Phil Jackson entering the final year of his contract, transition appears to be in the Lakers' future. The betting is the Knicks will make a major run at Bryant with the Bulls, Bryant's personal choice, still a possibility.

If the Lakers offered Kobe for Curry, would you do it?

How could that possible work since Kobe makes $18 million a year?

COMPLETELY agree. While the player doesn't necessarily need to be an All Star, the Knicks not consolidating talent would be a huge mistake. There aren't enough minutes to go around. And while this team's depth is fantastic, its starting lineup is atrocious.

I would let KB's rape me just to get him in NY.

That's how bad things are with management. It's gotten to that point.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
