Is he the best player on our team? Also should the offense be ran through him or Curry?

As of now, Zach is the best player, but Curry has the far greater potential. The offense should be run through both of them, that is, if they are trying their best and responding well to eachother.

However, there's just gonna be some nights when you're gonna want nothing but to dump the ball into Curry b/c he's abusing people down low, and some nights, you'll want to do nothing but give it up to Zach b/c he's in a zone and also abusing people.

With that said, it also depends on their defense. If they are slacking on the defensive end, then neither of them deserve to have the offense run through them.

Well said. Despite Zachs presence, Curry still has to be the first option just to se how the D reacts. If the D decides to single cover Curry, you have to pound it into Curry and force the D to either alter the game plan or get abused by Curry. When the D doubles Curry, you swing the ball around. Zach will either be at the top or on the weakside. Zach will be tough to cover if he's on the weakside with the D scrambling at him.

Also keep in mind, there will be plenty of times when they both aren't on the court together. So when Curry goes to the bench, the offense in the post shouldn't slack off one bit, forcing teams to continue to double the post, leaving the gameplan in tact.

Isiah should really drill these guys on how to play off the double team. How to slash to the basket (too much standing around by our perimeter peope last year when Eddy was doubled), how to position themselves on the weakside for open jumpers or in the case of Balk and JJ2 who can't shoot, how to slide in behind the D on the baseline, how to swing to ball etc. As I said, bot Curry and Zach will be doubled regardless if one of them is sitting. So repetition should help this team get a good flow on offense because they will se virtually the same type od Defense for the most part.

I'd say that base upon every available metric, Randolph is the Knicks' best player. I mean, there is no doubt about it.

PER ratings rank KG, Kobe, Wade, Dirk and Yao ass numbers 1-5. Hard to argue with that list. Randolph comes in at #20. Curry comes in at #70. Which only goes to show that Curry is really good at one thing and sucks balls at everything else.

He's the most talented offensive player for sure. I can't wait to see him plaired with a PG that is most comfortable running pack and roll. Marbs could actually average double figure assists with this team.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

It will be interesting who takes on that role of being the main passer between Marbury and Jamal. I was thinking that Marbury would be the third scorer while Jamal takes on the passer role.

I'd say Marbury. If Zach adds passing to his game then it could be him.

I'd say that Zach is the best player, because he rebounds well as well as scores. But I'd say that Curry is the best offensive player. He not only soored 20 a game last season, but his fg % was one of the highest in the league - .576 compared to .467 for Zach.

This is the thing that often get's overlooked. Curry is a high % monster. Zach tho is a top production player. I'm just glad that we have such a strong PF/C contingent. Add Lee and Balkman and you're talking about a LOT of offensive and rebounding production. Zach and Curry can share 50% of the scoring load with Steph, Jamal and Q taking up the rest of the offensive load.

I'd say cause he rebounds and scores that makes him a better big than Curry. still don't see anyone on this team with the ability to dominate a game like Steph can. Marbury, even with his frustrating inconstency at it, is still the top playmaker on this team. Zach/Eddy have to learn to beat defenses with the pass b/4 being anyone's best player.

I wonder how many times a day Nixluva says "something is being overlooked"

It's difficult to say who is our best all-around player. When he is going well, Curry is by far the best offensive player on the team when he is motivated but that is only one side of the ball. Zach is a great scorer, a good rebounder and appears to be able to move the ball a little bit(from my limited viewings of his games). But he lacks on the defensive end. I think out of our 3 best players, I feel Marbs may be the most reliable player at doing what he is supposed to do on the floor.

Curry averaged 19pts 7rbs
Zach averaged 23pts 10rbs

Curry has never averaged a double double and zach has done it multiple times, I wouldn't even rank curry ahead of David Lee at this point.

Becaus if you started Frye in Curry's place last year and had no eddy we wouldn't have lost anymore games than we already did

Do you think that Frye or Lee could command the post as good as Curry? Neither warranted any double teams to my knowledge or games that I saw last season. In fact Curry's double team normally came off both Frye and Lee so I find it hard to believe you can put Lee ahead of Curry. Begs the question, just how good could either Lee or Frye could be if they were played straight up or in the same respect double teamed.

Thats not the question if you played lee 40 minutes a night, and had frye getting set up shots and a few more touches in the post I think we would have been a better team. Curry had a good season but more often than not he provided no interior defense, never helps and was sluggish and not in the game when the ball wasn't in his hands

Marbury/Collins
Q/Crawford
Balkman/Jefferies
Lee/Rose
Frye/Cato

I think if healthy and if you used that unit it would produce an equal number of wins if not more to be honest. Especially if Cato got some minutes the defense your getting is a vast improvement.
