Funny it may be but this video is irrelevant to his play on the court. Allstar on the court. Offense and defense. Get this man in a Knick uni!

Totally agree. What does his rap venture have to do with his basketball abilities. Hell Shaq couldn't rap for crap and his best video was with a group called the Fu Schnickens. Know what, I still would have loved him on the Knicks.

Has there ever been an NBA star with a hot song and video? lol Somebody find that Kobe Bryant joint featuring Tyra Banks. How about Iverson's "40 Bars"? Shaq and his "What's Up Doc" song. Let's get some NBA music videos poppin' on this thread! lol

Though not a real connection with the NBA. I love the best of NBA fights remixes. Especially the one with Black Eye Peas, Anxiety song.

Yeah but here's the difference DESPERATE HOUSEFANS

Associated Press wrote:

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana Pacers forward Ron Artest said Wednesday that he asked coach Rick Carlisle for time off because of a busy schedule that included promoting a soon-to-be released rap album, which led to his two-game benching.

Artest held a short news conference before Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, and in his usual ambiguous manner, tried to explain why he was benched.

Artest said that he asked Carlisle for as much as a month off to heal his aching body and recover from a particularly busy schedule.

"My body has been aching, I was going to take some time off and I said it the wrong way," Artest said. "Everything that happened wasn't too negative. I kind of surprised the team by wanting to take some games off, just to get back together, maybe stay home for a little bit, rest a little bit and come back."

He certainly surprised Carlisle, who said Tuesday that the situation, "compromised the integrity of the team. It's a private team matter, and I'm going to leave it at that."

"I don't know what that means," Artest said. "They probably expected a little more; expected me to play every game. Everybody's different. It's early in the season, so I feel like I could take some time off early and be ready for the long stretch."

So Carlisle benched Artest for Tuesday night's win over Minnesota and Wednesday night's game against the Clippers. It is not a suspension, and Artest will not lose any salary. He will return Friday at Philadelphia.

The 24-year-old is scheduled to release his debut rap album later this month and has been spending a lot of time making promotional appearances.

"I've been doing a little bit too much music, just needed the rest," Artest said. "I've still got my album coming out Nov. 23. After the album comes out I'm going to make sure all of my time is focused on winning a championship."

It's the latest in a long line of controversial situations for Artest, ranging from destroying television monitors at Madison Square Garden two years ago to missing the team flight to Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals at Detroit last season.

I love that last quote

EPIC.... can't wait til he pulls this on us, then again between his albums and Sicilybury's shoes I guess we'll have nothing to worry about because the EXCELLENCE & COMMITMENT are there.

Screw what he did in 03-04 that's the same Damn reason we're stuck with WATERMELON head and the last time I checked Balkman played defense, Lee provides some interior toughness at least rebound wise, and Jeffries is a Savior.

Trueblue should re-identify himself as BooHoo. Seriously, you spit on every Knick player. You stick it to players who other fans would consider on this team. And you actually seek out reasons to hate players. If he can put Paul Pierce on lockdown, I don't give a crap whether he is making rap videos or putting getting a graduate degree... just let the guy play ball. AND, even if he implodes, thats a risk I am willing to assume. Do you not think that risk is already accounted for in his price tag?

Drop the negativity and go buy a slurpee...maybe become a celts fan. Your comments are tired.
You know I gonna spin wit it

How much are we upgrading with Artest over Q? Not Much
I think if you get Artest, you have to get rid of, or bench Craw.

Marbs
Artest
Q
Zach
Curry

is a much more solid lineup
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

That's your answer to who every we get. Artest is the type of player that allows you to play JC, why would you want Slow/zero guard skilled Q still starting with artest on the team??? To make Artest have to chase point guards because Marbury needs to guard 2'sand Q needs to guard 3's???? LOL

He's a much better all around offensive player aswell. Better handle, passer and create his own shot. Richardson may be a better standstill shooter which is about it.

^^^ Pretty much. I do believe some people think Q is about as good as Artest.......... I don't know why though. Outside of a couple of LBJ games the Q "held" him to 25-30 points, I really really really have a hard time understanding the Lore of Q DA GREAT!!!!!!

I'm a huge Q fan, and even I accept the fact that he isn't as dependable as we need, and is much better utilized off the bench.
