August 03, 2007. A few months ago MediaTakeOut.com reported that Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa were facing marital problems. Well it now looks like a divorce is imminent.

We spoke with a person extremely close to Kobe Bryant, who claims that the 28 year old ball player is ready to put an end to his 6 year marriage. The insider tells MediaTakeOut.com, "They've been trying [to make things better] now for more than a year, but it's just not working out ... Kobe's in the process of moving out [of their home] and both are ready to officially end things."

But if you're expecting fireworks in the divorce battle - you might be disappointed. According to our inside source, Kobe and Vanessa will likely settle everything quietly. Our insider explains, "There's very little for [Kobe and Vanessa] to fight over. Since there was no pre-nuptial agreement, Vanessa's entitled to half the marital assets ... Besides, Kobe stands to make a lot more money in the years to come - and that will be all his."

During his professional career, Bryant is estimated to have drawn in close to $200M in earnings. And the superstar's future earnings look even brighter. The Lakers currently owe him $88.6 million in salary over the next four seasons. And he has a number of very lucrative endorsement deals - including one with $18M left on it from Nike.

She's living the dream.

With no pre-nup there was never any pressure to make the marriage work from the door for her. All she had to do was act like the greatest wife in the world until Kobe cashed out. Then find the perfect age for her not to care as much about the relationship so that she isn't to old when she/he wants to call it quits.

Nalod, I get where you're coming from, but you're overthinking this.
Marriage is hard enough that you don't have to look for business
reasons why they're separating. As you say, cheating is enough of a reason.
Imagine how much that comes up every time they have a fight!
And imagine how much they fight cuz the trust is poisoned.

Marriage is hard enough that you don't have to look for business
reasons why they're separating. As you say, cheating is enough of a reason.
Imagine how much that comes up every time they have a fight!
And imagine how much they fight cuz the trust is poisoned.
