I've been thinking this was imminent all offseason. If they can't announce it now its because Jones, Dickau or one of the players we just drafted are involved, if not all 3.

You know at this stage -- what's the point of having a team that's half-crazy? If this is true, I'm proud of Isiah for realizing that us New Yorkers demand 100% full-on lunacy.

Doesn't work under the cap. Only works if you drop Jefferies or add John Salmons, Shareef or Kenny Thomas

Talent-wise, we would be a top-4 team in the East but putting your hopes on Artest remaining relatively sane is a losing proposition in my opinion. This sounds like last year's Francis trade, when the line was "It's so crazy, it just might work."

The Celtics went all in. This could be our way of going half way in because we wouldnt give up any huge real value and Artest can opt out next season

Yikes, don't like this deal if it goes down. I don’t want Artest on my team, not with Randolph already on it and Balkman ready on the wings.

But relative to cap considerations, if we are including Jeffries this may ultimately save us $s if Artest doesn't work out and we don't resign him.
