It does look hard but in comparison to last year i find it easier. we faced teams like San Antonio and Houston twice amongst alot of other tough teams in the first month.

We really don't have any easy months.

The schedule overall is tough.

I agree but I find January hard to look at. With the exception of Philadelphia and Sacramento all other 14 games are against potential .500+ teams with 9 of them on the road.

If you're going off the evidence we have from the last few years, every game will be tough for the NY Knicks. Its patches like the extended road trip to the west coast in late Jan/early Feb where we play a lot of games in a few days that you can point to now as cause for concern.

Agreed, but we have to make the assumption that these guys will also be a +.500 team

I find it weird that they are natioanlly televising the portland game at the rose garden instead of the one at MSG. I guess they think more people want to see Zachs return to portland as opposed to Oden's first game at the mecca of basketball.

Just glazing over the schedule, I think the west coast trip in the first month can set us under 500 going into December.

Despite having 9 home games in December, this month will really be telling in terms of did we really turn the corner. Handling Chicago, NJ, (two teams we always struggle to beat) Cleve and even Dallas at home will prove alot. Even though we are facing teams we usually lose to, we should finish above 500 (again if we turned the corner)this month with 9 home games to 5 road games.

January will be brutal. Feb can go either way. Lots of road games, but other than Boston and perhaps Toronto, none of the other road games are impossible. March and April are pretty tough as well.

I got a feeling Z-BO's gonna have many trailblazers in foul trouble when they meet with something to prove.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Lets hope so! They haven't proven they can be in the last few years but hopefully this year they turn it around. I can see them starting something like 17-12 over the first two months but then hitting .500 in january and dropping slightly below in february. I dont know right now i see 38 wins. The homer in me wants to say 42 and my "isles vision" wants me to say 30.

10-5

This is a very optimistic look at the shcedule. So you think we are going to beat Cleve in Cleve opening night, and also win at Detroit, a place we haven't won in....I can't remember...The other games are winnable (we usually struggle against Chi aswell). I would love to see us go 10-5 but we havn't proven that we have any advantages at home yet.

These cames are going to be pretty unpredictable.
I can only really pin down 3 wins and 4 losses that I feel good about having expectations.
The rest will be really winnable or lose-able.
