Ok the hottest topics are the naughty ref and marbury and his love for vicodin and the loco juice.

Is it time to put the keyboard away and get some fresh air?

What the hell is their to do if there is bo good sports to watch?

Yanks don't count yet unless they can make it interesting at the end of august. Nobody cares about the mets. Nobody gives a damn about soccer.

Anyway what do tout guys do if their aren't any sports to watch?

What if their were no pro sports at all?

Very boring in sports, Eny.

Lately my girlfriend and I have been watching DVDs while we're on the computer (she's into an online game lately), go out and get a little exercise (not too much) and we even got a board game the other week: We got Risk. First time I had ever played, pretty cool game... gets us away from the computers a bit.

I'm also a programmer and enjoy programming, so I spend some of my free time learning. I'm currently working with both OpenGL and DirectX (graphics). I need to keep practicing since they're moving me over to the 3D group at work.

Football's not as hyped as it usually is right now. There are no QB races, no super prospects.
No one cares what the latest hot shot wide receiver us supposed to do in Detroit.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

i think this is the best yankee season in a long time.

their starters struggled the first half. their bullpen still stinks. cano, matsui, abreu, damon all batting like crap the 1st half...

then they started hitting. and now they're 4.5 out of the wildcard. it's a fun regular season to see this team struggle and hope to find their way to the postseason - much different from previous seasons.

plus hughes is on his way back (today he went 6 ip, 2 h, 7K in a rehab start), and they have ian kennedy and joba chamberlain moving into AAA for the stretch run.

look at those K/9 IP's for chamberlain and ERA for kennedy.

not to mention first round pick andrew brackman is 6'10" and throw 100 MPH. they have a LOADED stable of pitchers.

you mean they are actually starting to hit while playing a few of the worst teams in baseball? yay, good for them.

Brackman's gonna need Tommy John. He's several years away.

But between Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy they have 3 flat out stud starting pitching prospects. And Alan Horne is not that far behind.

Jeff Marquez, Tyler Clippard and Kevin Whelan aren't bad either (and all are close to the majors).

Dellin Betances is another potential star.

Anyway its actually about to get real exciting in sports. Training Camp is starting up. This NBA ref story is also gonna blow up big time.

don't mind him, he's a Met fan... he's used to seeing his team play against those powerhouse teams in the NL like the Pirates, Astros, Cardinals, Marlins, Reds, Giants & Nationals

hey, whatever gets your hopes up.

after so many years of playoffs in a row, it's kind of nice to experience something different for a change.

there are no hopes to keep up. the yanks starting pitching is not that good and their bullpen is horrific. but their bats are waking up.

the key is just getting into the playoffs b/c as st. louis proved last year, any team can win it if their pitchers get hot at the right time.

It is interesting to experience it from this end after all these years of making the playoffs pretty easily.

If they do recover from their horrendous start, it'll be fun to see them go into the playoffs as the underdog. Everybody wrote the Yankees off so they can't start calling them anything but underdogs now.

You forgot Ohlendorf, Jackson and Sanchez. Sanchez is going to need a year to recover from Tommy John but he has a power arm and pitchers are coming back strong from that surgery. So I have a lot of hoe for Sanchez and Brackman. Ohlendorf can hopefully be a back of the rotation arm or a decent setup guy.

2009 Rotation for the new Yankee Stadium:

Johan Santana
Phil Hughes
Chien Ming Wang
Joba Chamberlain
Ian Kennedy

I would love for that to the starting rotation by 2009. I don't think Chamberlian nor Kennedy are that far off. I can see Chamberlain coming up before Kennedy does though.

To be honest with you, I would like to see Andy Pettitte open up the new Yankee stadium in 2009 but I don't know if thats a realistic hope or not. I don't want it to be someone like Santana(although I'd hope for him to be on the team) I just think it would be nice if one of the late 90s Yanks would be able to do it.

you gotta beat the team you play that day, end of story... you talk like the Mets are so superior to the Yankees when they're playing in the inferior league with the inferior talent... after a slow April & May, the Yankees have been rolling ever since... check the standings & you'll see your team is only a 1.5 game better W-L record than the Yankees do.

this is what's so annoying about Met fans... they talk so much trash in May & June as if the baseball season was only 3 months in duration... wait til the end of September & into October & see where you stand before you talk any trash... i'd say there's a damn good chance the Braves beat you guys out for the division this year yet again, but i'm sure you're already worried about that anyway.

Thats true, but don't you see their play now as false hope? They aren't beating anyone good, their bats *should* be beating up on these pitchers. Do you really think they are better than the Indians?
