Stern is going to a nba family picnic after this conference to discuss the goings on, just like the mob would do. Word on the street donaghy is not the only ref involved and like the mob one guy has to take the fall. wow

He's had anger management issues (incident with a postal worker, fellow ref etc.) This wasn't enough to warrant action by the NBA? "It was enough to warrant investigation by the NBA." The sheer volume wasn't enough? "The sheer volume was enough for us to pull him in and tell him if it ever happened again he'd be terminated. He was also pulled off of a round of playoffs."

How does this affect the possibility of a team being in Vegas? Stern canceled a meeting on the subject scheduled for this past Monday... "It is something to think about this summer"

Donaghy earned $260,000 last year. That is a pretty good salary. Why would this guy get involved with illegal betting. Just stupid.

Says stern won't allow any one referee to bring down his league,he have taken on bigger people than a ref.

Gambling can be a disease, there are people that would gamble their lives away. The more money you make, the more money you wage. Like Tony Soprano, would bet like 30k on a football game, not to use a tv show, but you get the idea.
