As always be should be the guy that can call his own number when the play screws up or if nobody else can score at the time.
Craw is a good creator but if he's off marbs has to be the one to take over.
Take over but in spurts. He has to know when to stop shooting and begin to pass again. He could be hot but he would have to channel that sometimes to get other guys shots.
Isiah probably was one of the best at that. He never averaged more than 20pts a game but was more known for games he took over offensively. Isiah knew when to carry the team, buy he also knew when to give the ball up to get other guys going.
Marbs has to master that. I think he is getting there. Last year probably was his best season doing so. Hopefully next year he can out it together.
This get's back to my point about having guys on the team that can deliver, besides Steph. Cuz if he senses that guys will finish plays, he's shown that he has no problem giving up the ball. The thing is tho, that we have to have guys step up. I think this is the beauty of adding Zach. He's a guy that's not afraid, like Frye was and he's not gonna be hesitant to take the right shot. Steph will have no problems giving Q, Zach and Curry the ball. Since he's been here, he's shown more of a willingness to give up the ball, but the guys here and around the web seem to ignore that he's been taking fewer and fewer shots since he's got here. They ignore how many assists he was getting when we had shooters around him. He's not the guy that people are trying to make him out to be.
His problem here was trying to get a feel for when to take over and when to just be a distributor. Can you blame him with guys like Shandon or TT or the many other guys we've had that can't hit a shot, consistently not coming thru when he set them up. I think he's got the hang of it now and I expect good things from him this year. I think he has confidence in the guys we have and he has a good relationship with this group. Despite all the crap people keep saying about how his teammates hate him. I was just watching a game from this season I tapd and Q and Steph were giving each other slaps on the backside and high fives during the game. Nod's of thanks for passes from other teammates etc. I remember Lee talking about how Steph was pumping him up about taking shots and being confident. I'm just tired of all the bashing when there are other guys who deserve it much more. LIke Frye or Jared or James. Heck even Jamal hasn't been stepping up on a consistent enough basis from game to game and year to year. People give these guys much more slack than Steph ever gets. They also refuse to give Steph credit for playing as hard and thru pain as he has. He's stepped up his D in the last 2 years and I think he'll be solid again this year.
