After reading solace's Marbury hate list include "I hate how he lollygags it on the court -it's a disgrace to the sport...", I winced. I wonder how any NBA player would be allowed to "lollygag" by his head coach.

When I read a thread stating the Knicks should "blow it up" that was the last straw. The same Knicks franchise that has NEVER in its history had more compelling young talent should "blow it up"?

I propose a sabattical, a hiatus, a break... anything to relieve the pressure that some feel every day of the week to vent on my beloved franchise with blatantly and patented-ly arbitrary remarks.

Do soemthing else people. Go hug your kids, a tree, go outside...read a book.

but please do something to expand your horizons past the Knicks.

Training Camp is three months away.

Why do I need a break? I had fun. I also know the #1 reason why the Knicks aren't winners, even more than Isiah's moves, and that reason is Stephon Marbury.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Some guys in Jersey may say different.

Hmmm... We don't know enough about that to make a determination yet.

Misterearl, I'm not saying I agree with you or disagree with you. Actually, I even agree that we have some nice compelling talent and we should definitely look foward to seeing how they can mesh together, all while hoping Eddie and Zack can play some defense.

However Misterearl, as much as us fans like to see the youthful flavor, it still hasn't brought us 2 things, and that's wins and a championship. Fans will start being optimistic and we will all be taking your side when we become contenders, and we will all, of course, be satisfied when we finally win a championship. However, we haven't even broken .500 since 2001, so you gotto be understanding that it's hard to really get amped up, until given true reason to.

In closing, this is an unproven team. Until we put a proven team on the court, you'll hear negativity rightfully so.

I fact I am very excited to see out 1-2-3 year players play and succeed
The thing that frustrates me - we have a bunch of booms veterans who will be used by IT to prove his f...n points.
These guys are good for nothing and this is proven. They can score point zo to make people talk and feel some hope.
And this is bad...
It's like 4th sequel of not so good movie - same cast, same producer, same moves, and worsening results.
Time to move to some fresh start and we have crew to make it. We just need to remove IT, marbs, Eddy, Zach, JJ’s, Q, and Craf out of the way…

Wow, I usually agree with you but not on this one. How many more games would the team have won last year if they didn't have the guy on the roster? (I'd actually say about ten fewer games.) And I do think Marbs has serious problems but I think the problems of this run much deeper than Marbury, preceded him by several years, and will continue after his contract is over.

arkrud - your bias against most of the roster doesn't make sense to me. Especially before the newest edition of Knicks have had the opportunity to practice once as a unit. If you don't like Eddy, Zach, the captain formerly known as Quentin Richardson, Jeffries, Crawford, Marbury ...

and Isiah...

that damn Isiah...

the same damn Isiah who has artfully delivered Collins, Balkman, Nichols, David Lee, Chandler, the next unexpected transaction, Randolph Morris, and even the impetuous/impulsive/irritating/instigating/never-introverted but talented Nate Robinson.

of course it is an "unproven" team, according to Allanfan.

It doesn't start until October. Burying the Knicks now is a waste of time and nothing more than the evidence of a chicken-liver hearted, fair-weather, bandwagon-jumping, grocery store tantrum-throwing infant screaming "I want my candy and I want it NOW, Mommy!"

I simply can't get with that type of mouse-hearted support in July.

if Isiah had used his first 3 years to deliver Lee, Frye, Nate and onwards to this team I don't think folks would have such an impatient attitude. And you could even sprinkle Curry into that equation. But it's the Marbury, Penny, Rose, Francis, Big Game, JJSkinny overlap that has everyone wondering the direction and formula.

Forward, March!

Martin - if Isiah...

if Isiah...

dude, folks are impatient because they don't know anything but whining and complaining. It's funny to me because the Knicks fans in Las Vegas were looking forward to the upcoming season. But they were priviledged to see the evidence of better days in person.

I wonder what Clyde thinks.

C'mon dude, Penny is gone, Jalen Rose is on Best Damn, Steve Francis is in Houston, and James will be quickly supplanted/replaced by the bonus out-of-nowhere regular season pickup of starting University of Kentucky center Randolph Morris.

...and the despised Marbury will be gone in 2 seasons

why continuously only look backwards?

It will be great to have Isiah to work as NY Knicks scout... ONLY.
He is probably the best in the business in this.
But if you are good computer engineer why you will start trucking business or writing novels
You can still use computer but... may be better to have proven professional coaches and GM's do their jobs ?

Well, to be fair, Isiah has caused major roster issues which prohibit us from winning too much. That being said, the last three seasons we won 33, 23 and 33. I think everyone will agree that we're a better team than those records. So, IMHO, if you replaced Marbury with a less-talented PG with a better attitude, I think we would've been .500 or better at least one of those seasons. I think the Marbury factor will be more felt going forward. Our team is improving, but we have a career loser on our team. Having Marbury on the team will continue to hinder the development of guys like Eddy Curry and will ultimately prevent us from reaching our full potential. The quicker Cancerbury goes, the quicker that starts to turn around.

As for last season, I disagree. Marbury played well for a few months in there, but he had a negative influence on Curry, and Marbury's "improved" play was only noticeable because he was putrid for the first two months of the season since he refused to work with Francis.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

When you build a team around Lazy Curry, Zack the Ripper, and Cancerbury, yes you have major roster issues.

Apart from that, I like the younger players we have on the team. I don't think that they're talented enough to win a championship, so I'm disappointed that Lazy Curry, Zack the Ripper and Cancerbury are our core. Aren't you?

Solace - I'm disappointed that some people who call themselves Knicks fans can do not better than resort to insulting names for players who are nothing more than flawed human beings like the rest of us.

Then again, you could be perfect

3/4 of the coaches in NBA and half in the College are better that Isiah. And GM's as well.
He is OK for D-league only...
You can switch the topic any way you want but IT and marbs is the worst thing happened with Knicks and this kind of disease required amputation...
