I must say I normally do not overvalue summer league play but these guys look solid. Especially Nichols. He has a shot and can create his own shot and play defense. Morris looked good rebounding and playing defense.

Is it safe to say Karate James will be bought out or Jeffries?

Do not overvalue summer league play.

Morris can't be worse than James in any way . We have 17 players someone has to go. I rather see a young guy like Morris compared to Karate James fouling out in 5 minutes every game.

Morris looks like a good rebounder. He uses those wide shoulders to block out.

I think you have a man crush. That's the second time you've mentioned his "wide shoulders".

I think you are right about James. Nichols, Chandler, and Morris have all been impressive. I think that Jeffries might need another year. Some guys take a year to adjust to NY, and he was injured. Look at the difference a year made with Q.

Unless some trade comes along- I could also see Malik being bought out. Granted, that is a lot of guards to carry.

I could see Malik getting brought out and Dickau maybe just release.

Chandler and Nichols were surprisingly up to speed. Morris was good on the boards and had some blocks, but needs work on his offensive game around the hoop.

If 3 for 1 trade doesn't happen, buy out James and release Dickau.

James could still be utilize. I don't forsee Curry or Randolph playing 82 games. I like what Malik brings in the way of leadership but he is closer to end of the bench.

James is garbage and I don't care if he get's in the best shape of his life, i'm tired of him. He's been stealing money and I think we'd get more out of Morris at this point.

And look at the difference 3 years made with A-Rod.

Chandler, Morris, and Nichols played with poise and look like they're ready to contribute on the NBA level. Of course, this is based on 1 summer league game - but they didn't seem overwhelmed by the journeymen on the court fighting for the professional basketball lives.

Then again, the Knicks team, beyond our real draft picks, seems particularly not-so-talented (Greene has a pure shot, tho)...

Nate made some bad passes, but he made the offense happen.

Renaldo Balkman is an interesting character. Much like David Lee, he doesn't seem to have much of an interest in looking for his own offense - he's either making things happen for his teammates to score or finishing. It's probably a good reason why their teammates love playing with them - Lee & Balkman are both no-nonsense. Both of them can thrive in systems surrounded by scorers.
