(Marbury and Q will both be on injured reserve by Jan)

Mardy Collins - demonstrated the rare ability to fill three important columns of the stat sheet - strength: defense

Jamal - can be camouflaged between Mardy and a defense-oriented small forward, strength: offense

Jeffries - at 6'11 he is still a pest on defense and will rebound - strength: defense

Randolph - 23 and 10 is still 23 and 10, especially when you can face the basket - strength: offense

Curry - fewer double teams, you do the math - strength: offense

Lee - if sixth man was good enough for Cazzie freakin' Russell, strength: ambidextrous

Renaldo - energy vaccination, strength: dreadlocks flying in the open court

Fred Jones - experience and leadership, strength: if there ever was a name for "everyman" Fred Jones is it

Jefferies is 6'11"... he should be averaging a ton more rebounds than he gets & his defense is vastly overrated... he was completely lost last season on plenty of occasions on help D.

& ease up on Fred Jones... experience & leadership? you sound more & more like Bobo everyday.

Earl get a clue please, Jefferies averages 4rbs he is 6'11, and he is an awful defender that played good defense maybe for two games......

Jones? Leadership experience really why did he just get traded twice in a year he has been a huge disaster, and if he is on this team isiah has proven to play favorites.....

And Q and Marbury aren't going down, collins and balkman are not going to get the minutes they deserve, unless isiah moves lee which isn't that much of a stretch....

Great. The only guy in the starting line up that can shoot the ball outside of 12 feet is Jamal. Beautiful.

So MisterEarl, you whine to us about not being optimistic, yet you have Quentin and Marbury, 2 of our most important players, being injured. (There is no IR remember.) You're digging your own grave son. That's the first point.

Second point: Jared Jefferies was lost in the abyss last season, and you beg us not to byatch and moan about him being in the starting lineup, when we're calling for either a healthy Q to start, or Balkman or perhaps Lee or a player who gets traded to us, or Chandler. (You and I both know perfectly well that people are going to be calling for him to get more minutes, whether he's earned them or not.)

Zach and Curry might be an offensive beast, but maaaaaan, we sure are forgetting that both have a reputation for being lazy as hell on defense and don't even block a shot a game COMBINED!!!! So IF and I do say IF b/c whether you like to think or or not, I am an optimistic person, that team doesn't play any defense, and Crawford continues to be Chuckford, then you're damn skippy right I'm gonna be bitching and moaning.

That's one pathetic rotation. So bad that they aren't worth bitching and moaning about.

right, mustafaab was the guy i was thinking of... not Bobo.

i'm just surprised he didn't bring up Fred Jones as being a "battle tested veteran"

this was the guy that once described Travis Knight as a "Shaq understudy" and a bona fide 7 footer with shooting guard skills.

Oh Travis... where you are now

sheesh, some of you guys need to change teams

TMS - Jeffries started the season injured and never caught up, but c'mon, the idea here is to put aside the venom for just a moment and look at the (cough) "upside of the top 8 players in the 07-08 rotation. Please forgive my positive outlook and invasion into the territory of "all these guys simply suck"

and no Allanfan, the crystal-ball injuries to Marbury (wear and tear) and Richardson (bad backs are more fragile and problemmatic than bad knees)
I'm standing by the forecast they both are slowed down during the season

(and no, contrary to your narrow assesment, if you can cite any passage where I resorted to "whining" i would like to have it pointed out thank you. dang, why must support of a team be answered with arrows?

please forgive the fact i have no problem with a few ounces of patience for the same franchise that people claim to have patience for a "total rebuild". I plan on watching next tuesday with a smile on my face, no matter what.

if you choose to be negative in july, what negative vibes can you build by November?

rather that consider the possibilities, you may now return to your regularly scheduled dirt ball tossing. but hey, it's only basketball

Allanfan - Zach is a lot of things. But to label him lazy is patently wrong.

Just because I (and others) think that JJ2 is crap and not worth starting role, doesn't make us bad fans.
Get someone in there that can actually play. I'd rather get Balk in there, tho ideally, someone who can shoot the rock.

see, this is why you carry no credibility on this forum whatsoever... you misrepresent & over-exaggerate my comments almost every time you respond... at no time did i ever make any mention of every player on this team "sucking"... i made corrections on your comments about 2 players that you were clearly overrating... then you take offense when someone challenges your point of view & make snide, ridiculous remarks that have no basis of truth whatsoever & basically insult the opinions of the poster commenting to your post... you're a troll in the worst sense of the word.

at this point in time rotation is no big deal unless you can reveal who will be coaching after jan to cause star and q to go ir

the biggest concern for this knick fan is who is our next coach

I feel much better about it. But still think we will be weak shooting the rock.
Jamal is the only one (given your assumption of Marbs and Q out), and not consistent.
With regards to JJ2, I don't ever need to see him on the floor as a Knick again.
