I did....didn't think about the Knicks very much at all.

Hey, all those guys got cap room, but end up with the same number of titles as the knicks. Yeah they got playoffs, but we got more money for our playoffs.

Cap room is looking more and more like a myth that people are clinging to to bash the knicks.

When Phoenix, Chicago, Orlando or portland win a title, then we can say we did something.

Until then, it's as much as a myth as picking first in the draft (see mineesota and olawakandi)

stop bashing the knicks- the randolph trade is a great trade for us.

CHI will be regretting how they spent the spoils of the Curry trade in a year or two. Pheonix hasn't won with their boy Nash yet. Orlando has now maxed themselves out of the FA game and didn't improve appreciably. Portland.. who cares. They're out west.

Oh I get it Orlando was supposed to sign Lewis, Kapono, Wallace, Carroll, Darko, and Pietrus with $15mil of cap space. You do realize if Orlando let things play out for a yr they have cap space next yr also even with the signing of Lewis and Howard extension?

Meanwhile we've blown our cap to smithereens and haven't even made the playoffs for 3yrs straight and highly possibly counting.

i agree. 33 wins are the same as 49, 57, and 60 wins. or winning 47 after only 20 something the year before.

in fact, winning a championship...what does that really mean anyway? it's just a trophy anybody can buy in the store, so in essence, since we can buy more trophies than anybody else in the league, well i guess that makes us the best.

we are the best.

unlike us, many teams can't just spend spend spend.

they made big money acquisitions...and realized they were mistakes. but since we can take on ridiculous amount of funds, we actually helped them get rid of their mistakes. so from their point of view, they won every trade.

now, did we upgrade our talent level? yes we did. but unfortunately, all of that is subjective. there must be some way to quantify whether a team improves or not...something not subjective. and so far, we have no indications we have.

maybe one day we will, but so far, we haven't.

we didn't win a ring with ewing. we probably won't win a ring with isiah as gm. so if the attitude is "well they didn't win titles", well then what's the point of watching this team?
