This is just an idea, no rumour or anything.

But the Nuggets are looking for expirings for Camby, and don't tell me Zeke wouldn't consider Camby if he suddenly fell in his lap.

Sixers work as a 3rd team because they're still looking for a post scorer big man, and they already have Dalembert & Hunter as shotblockers. Billy King is stupid enough to do this trade, to be honest:

KNICKS Trade:

Eddy Curry
Dan Dickau
Renaldo Balkman
Fut. Lotto Prot. 1st

GET:

Marcus Camby
Kyle Korver

SIXERS Trade:

Kyle Korver
Kevin Ollie
Rodney Carney

GET:

Eddy Curry
Anthony Carter

NUGGETS Trade:

Marcus Camby
Anthony Carter

GET:

Kevin Ollie
Dan Dickau
Renaldo Balkman
Rodney Carney
Fut. Lottery Prot. 1st
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You want us to trade a 24 year old center, Balkman, a future lottery pick for a 33 year old often injured Camby and Korver? Camby averages around 50 games a year. What is the point if you have us in the lottery again?

Wow, I didn't realize Camby is now 33.

That's a horrible trade,

And Bob, I don't give a **** what you think.

And I don't give a **** what you think as well partna.

Btw, the pick... I don't care about. Take it out, whatever. But Camby would give us a legit shot in the playoffs from his defense alone.

Giving up Curry, basically straight up for Camby (and don't ****e Korver either, we need 3's), is a risk worth takin.

But whatever, think what you want...

Horrible trade. A 33 yo center that relies mostly on athleticism to be effective. We'd be lucky to get over a year more of good performance out of him. There are cheaper ways to get a 3 point shooter.

There's a very small but vocal minority around here that has a thing for trading Curry. We get it. You guys hate Curry! It's a great plus to have major shot blocking, but it's not a requirement to win games. I just want to see a greater effort to at least deter or alter shots. If Curry can do that I think we'll be fine.

That's not it at all. I think people just want to see balance rather than redundancy.

Curry has enough trade value to get more back. That's why I'd explore many other deals first. Nevertheless, I'm sure we'd win far more games with a Zach/Camby front court than a Zach/Eddy front court so long as Camby stayed about as healthy as he's been the last few years.

You guys are hating on Curry. Atleast give this combo the benefit of the doubt before breaking it up. Redundancy with Curry and Zach not true two different styles of play. They will compliment each other more than people here think.

It is redundancy when both are good scorers and neither are good defenders. Don't get me wrong, I like Zach, he is an upgrade over what we had there, but its more of what we already have(offense and rebounding).

Man, didn't they just tell you in another thread that Camby is 33 years old and has been injured every year for the last 3 years? What....are you talking about?

Help me to try to understand.

Camby is an injury waiting to happen. We would make a trade for him and he would get injuried at the press conference walking up the stairs.

Indeed, I don't get what is the obsession with trading him. You would think he just had the worst possible season of his career. You would think he is on the decline maybe past his prime. Honestly, I can't wait for when the season starts to see what kind of shape he shows up in. I for one am hoping for great improvement upon last season and hopefully to see him make the all-star team. (I think he is good enough to do so)IF he indeed does improve to that level, I anxiously await the response of the board, to see what most will say. I already know there is a bunch of "i told you so" waiting to be posted if he falls flat on his face.

btw, this trade is just terrible

LOL! better yet he'll get injured once a telephone call is made to him on the trade.

Thats the thing about pessimists, they just like to bitch about something. Trade Curry, fire Isiah, sell the team to someone else and they will still find something wrong to bitch about. I can understand wanting change but this trade and some of the other "trade player X" are getting ridiculous.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
