Report: Lewis Agrees To Sign With Magic

WKMG Channel 6 -

Orlando television station WKMG Local 6 is reporting that Rashard Lewis has agreed to sign with the Orlando Magic on July 11.

The deal is reported for 5 years and $75 million.

Sports anchor David Pingalore also reported the Magic will allow restricted free agent forward Darko Milicic to become an unrestricted free agent

Why let Darko be unrestricted? They need him too.

So that pretty much might be the end of the story on any more deals. Next up is a buyout for Malik and Jerome.

Curry, Zach, Lee, Steph, Jamal
Q, Jared, Balkman, Jones, Dickau,
Colllins, Nate, Morris, Chandler, Nichols

Without a trade it's the only sensible thing to do. Just bite the bullet on a big mistake in signing James.

Well that was Detroit's gaffe. Everyone knows that's one that got away big time for Dumars but he's acquitted himself to some extent with the championship and being a consistent contender.

I kept telling people before he would even be signed he wanted Vince Carter, Larry Hughes type money and that's pretty much what he got.

ray, zach, and shard all make their way east. "b" and "c" listers for sure, but at least the east is getting some talent back.

For god's sake, WHY? Nocioni plays with balls! He's tough...

they have tyrus + noah. deng will take on an expanded role. they need a big guy that can post up a little bit and an eventual long term replacement for ben wallace at center. it makes sense for them. nocioni is awesome but he's gonna ask for a deal starting at $6/7 mil. they need darko more than they need noc.

What about Charlotte? Pair him as power forward next to Okafor and their front court is set. They have significant cap room.

Actually if the Bulls just trade Duhon they wouldn't have to renounce Noch. They'd have enough cap space to give Darko a starting salary around $7.5-9mil and still re-sign Noc, since they already renounced Sweetney.
