When's the last time we had this much talent at all five positions?

Are we better than last year?

Is this better than going through two years of agony and hoping that Wade or LeBron wants to change teams?

We're back to a point talent/composition wise that is pre-McDyess-trade. That's saying a lot.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Overall we're a fan base that complains a lot

years of disappointments, hundreds of millions of dollars spent, & nothing to show for it & i'd say fans are entitled to complain... especially when you spend your hard earned money buying tickets & going to games to witness a team that can't get out of its own way on most nights... fans in NY pay a premium price to support our teams, & they deserve better than what they've gotten over the past several years from this franchise... that doesn't mean you complain just for the sake of complaining... when a move is made that you don't agree with, you have a right to give your take on it... this is a message board afterall.

The internet has changed what being a fan is about.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

clearly being a fan means being a blind homer to anything & everything the franchise you root for does for better or worse

I agree, but there is a reason behind my complaining. When I first cam eto this site I do not think there was a poster that was more optimistic than myself. I thought Zeke and Marbury were gods. Then reality settled in. See only reason we are complaining because we are so anxious to see how this things plays out next season. With the huge gap till November we can only think about what the next season might be like. Many minds have been tainted with the consistent lack of success (like myself) so our viewpoints for the future is not bright.

But the more Zach Randolph highlights and articles I see, the more I soften my negative stance on the Knicks future.

fans like you deserve every bit of mediocrity this franchise provides to you in the coming seasons... me personally, i'm focused on building towards becoming an elite team in the NBA again like this team was back in the 90's... i hope you enjoy spending money to attend Knick games to see an inferior product year after year... me, i'm focusing on the development of our young guys, & hopefully some day this organization finally getting a clue & maneuvering to obtain a true franchise level talent to build around... maybe i'll be able to celebrate a championship before i turn 80.

TMS - do you have other teams you follow or just the Knicks. Because if you don't (i don't either btw) you might have to wait til you're 80 or older before this franchise changes the way they do things. We were capped out beyond hope before Zeke too. Its not like this is something that just happened.

You think you as a fan have an impact on the teams being an elite team? Talk about delusions of granduer.

Have you made one basket?
Have you blocked 1 shot?
Have you had 1 rebound?

How many wins has fan whining got the team so far?

i've been a Yankee & Giants fan since the mid 70's... started following the Knicks when they drafted Ewing.

I agree with what you are saying in principle TMS and think that most of the fans are not happy with the results. That being said, if fans want to have an impact on the franchise complaining on a public forum, while ok to let off some steam, has little to no effect on the decisions made by management/ownership, who also has the right, money and power to make the decisions and roll the dice every year. Sure, they want to please the customer, but some folk will always find something negative that they don't care for and just like to complain.

Personally, I like the trade. We got ourselves a talented player and dumped another one that was no longer of any useful value to us. I did like Channing, but he is a casualty and fit the package. It is not just change for the sake of change. Right now, we are winners in a league where we have too often been losers. There is positive buzz around the league concerning this trade as favorable, and a daily news poll has Knick fans liking the deal at a 76% clip. We did get some value here. Whether it will pan out or not, we'll all just have to wait and see.

I know this, them boys better learn how to play "D" (see sig)

I'm hopeful that things will work out for us.

The glass is half full now.

I have a new name for my beloved Brickerbockers, the "Apple turnovers"

trust me, in no way shape or form do i think what myself or anyone else on this forum has to say will have any effect whatsoever on the way the Knicks choose to run their franchise... it's a message board, a place where fans are supposed to offer their opinions on the team they root for... it can't be all rosey hunky dory all the time around here... how boring would that be if there weren't alternate viewpoints to talk about?

the only thing i can control is not spending any more money going to games to watch an inferior product... i've gone to about 10 games a season on the average for the past few years... until this team gets to the point where they're a legitimate contender again, i'm pretty much going to stay away for my own peace of mind & watch how it all unfolds... if i start to like what i see again, i'll probably go back... not that my money will have any impact on Dolan's infinite Cablevision money, but it's about principle to me... i'm definitely not the only fan of this team that feels this way either judging from the increased availability of tickets the past few seasons... doesn't mean i'm gonna stop watching & rooting for this team to succeed though.

How many wins has fan whining got the team so far?

How many playoff wins, much less playoff series wins, has Isiah gotten the team so far?

I guess TMS, and the rest of us as fans, have had just as much impact on the Knicks being an elite team as Isiah has.

Oh no! He's ridiculing my hockey team on a basketball message board! What am I going to do?!?

And as far as being an expert on sucking things, someone with "SUCKS" in their name must know a thing or 2 about it. I bet you can suck a golf ball through a garden hose, amongst other things.
