I'm going to list my winners and losers

Winners

1. ATL - Al Horford and Acie Law(They got it right this yr, NUFF CED!)
2. Seattle - Kevin Durant and Jeff Green(2 Lottery picks making rebuilding around Durant easy)
2. PDX - Greg Oden, Josh Mcroberts, Rudy Fernandez, and Taurean Green(We knew Oden was theirs but they cleaned up with the additional picks, plus the trade with us)
3. Det - Rodney Stuckey and Aaron Afflalo(they got 2 athletes almost without even trying)
4. SA - Tiago Splitter and Marcus Williams(from where they were drafting good grief, in 2yrs we'll all be wondering how they continue to get it done)
5. Clips - Al Thorton and Jared Jordan(Here are 2 players I feel will be bang for your buck type picks)
6. Wolves - Corey Brewer and Chris Richard(filled 2 positions of need with 2 players from a winning program)
7. Charlotte - Jason Richardson, Jared Dudley, and Jamereo Davidson(Wright may become a stud but it was stated he's a project and Charlotte upgraded their roster, how much remains to be seen)
8. Nets - Sean Williams(great risk here)

I'm not quite sure who the losers were

I actually think the Celts and Charlotte loose out on this- both the celts & bobcats took over the hill 2's with injury/longevity problems.

I find it hard to believe when even your league officials warned you not to draft the guy.

Sean Williams celebrated being taken by the Nets at #17 with Cliff Robinson. It was a "closed door meeting"....with a wet towel under the door.

Are they really making that big of a deal over the fact that Williams used to smoke herb? How did weed become so vilified in this country? How is it any different than having a drink, other than our laws which are based on financial and political reasons (first and foremost the Tobacco lobby)

Wallace is a weed head and one of the better players in the league, who led his team to a title.

Portland and the Spurs. What Portland did was visionary for a team in the rebuilding phase.

WINNER: New York Knicks – Isiah Thomas has been an annual draft night loser, but this was one of the good ones for Thomas, who ditched one past mistake (Francis) and Frye to pick up Zach Randolph, a beast of a low-post scorer.

Now, how Randolph and Eddy Curry coexist down low is a major question, but at least Randolph plays hard. Of course, if he could find trouble in his hometown of Marion, Ind., and then Portland, uh, what's Manhattan going to do to him? And maybe Frye wasn't so bad. So this isn't the greatest night in the franchise's history.

But if nothing else, the move inspired the downtrodden Knicks fan base to foresee a better, brighter day. Then they landed a great athlete in Wilson Chandler.

For the Knicks, that doesn't make them good and doesn't solve all their past mistakes, but it at least makes them a little better.

Everybody is praising the Knicks. I still have to see how this works. Maybe when NBA 2K8 comes out because I just don't see it.

what is that supposed to mean? Anything can be abused.

So if a player has a couple drinks on the weekend, do you consider him an alcoholic. ITs not the abuse of a drug thats put into question, but the use of which.

Williams essentially quit the league to smoke. Duke had issues that extended far beyond weed use. He lacked the mindset of a professional athlete.

50% of the league smokes and that is being generous, as long as the guy plays hard and doesn't hurt anyone who cares what they do

Thats understandable but 50% of the league didn't get kicked out of college after being given numerous chances because they smoked weed. The fact that BC had to keep him out for smoking is what does it for me because he was given chance after chance and still did it. We don't need those kinds of players, let the Nets have him.

Ha, I have to plead ignorance on the Sean Williams situation. On draft day, they made it seem as though the mere idea that he smoked put his character...not that the use of which led to his dismissal from the team.

Thats fair...but I'm annoyed at the overall self-righteousness from our "moral majority" that somehow puts recreational pot use on the same plane as ax murderers. And hell yes, I'm a blazer, and I never played for Portland.

If your employer had a policy of NO "tree smoking" and gave random test for it, will you risk being fired from your high paying job just for da buzz ?

Why? i like Noah as a player, but he's similar to Ty Thomas and Ben Wallace. Lots of hustle but no offensive threat in the paint which is still a need for that team.
