right now the only way Isiah can make any sense of the ridiculous contract he just took on w/the Zach Randolph deal is to get rid of Jefferies, Turd, Mardy & Nate for Ron Artest in my eyes... that at least offsets some of the added cap he just took on, for the '09 season anyway.

C - Curry / Morris
PF - Zach / Lee
SF - Artest / Balk / Chandler
SG - Q Rich / Craw / Jones
PG - Marbs / Dickau
IR - Malik

Decent team balance & we are a much more physical team than last season... thoughts?

I agree, but is that enough for Artest?

The Knicks just traded Francis and Frye for Randolph. I am no longer saying is that enough for a trouble player.

I think Lee would get it done. Not sure if isiah will offer Lee.

I would prefer G Wallace over Artest.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwww.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would not be surprised if Isiah goes after Artest or Lewis this offseason.

Kirilenko would work in the front court better than those two players would IMO.

that's just brilliant... the only other contract in the NBA as bad as Zach Randolph's... i think that fits perfectly into Isiah's plan actually.

Well I'm already assuming they're not going to ever try to get any fiscal responsibility and I'm trying to figure out the best unit they could put together under that assumption. As you know, it's not how I'd want to build a team.

So we are going to stuff another ego into the starting lineup who wants to clear out oneside of the court to pound the floor into dust with his dribble????? Makes sense...........

damn, adding Artest would turn the knicks into a powder keg of egos and dysfunction. The odds on the team imploding would be very high. I dont think Zeke could justify adding Artest on top of another player with tremendous skill, but questionable character.

I thought the same thing before he added Zach.

Adding Zach, to me, Isiah is saying doesn't matter how many head cases he has...

Mismatch of talent aside, in terms of character issues the Knicks are fine now. That is unless you come from the Layden school of stockpiling the team with bland, Utah-themed boy scout washouts.

if Isiah is trying to implement a tougher, bad boyish type of image here, then getting Artest would make perfect sense... it then justifies the Zach Randolph trade because you're actually going as far all in as u reasonably can at this point to contend for a championship... i am sick & tired of the half assed, 1 foot in, 1 foot out type roster moves that Isiah's made since he got here... if he wants to commit to this starphuch plan, then he needs to go all in on it & go after Ron Artest (unless of course he can somehow land a true superstar)

how about Jefferies, Nate, cash & a future 2nd rounder for Artest.

C - Curry / Morris
PF - Zach / D Lee / Malik
SF - Artest / Balk
SG - Q Rich / Crawford / Jones
PG - Marbs / Mardy
IR - Turd / Dickau / Chandler

at least now we have some defenders in the starting rotation to offset the weak defense in our 2 low post scorers... i think that team begins to take on some sort of identity & is well suited to a slowed down half court style game in the starting 5, & has some guys who can run the floor on the bench to give you a different look also.

Artest is too volatile...Randolph has 'questionable character'...you could write a damn psychological journal on Artest.

at this point, team chemistry doesn't seem to be that high on Isiah's wishlist... he's obviously just trying to get the most talented players he can get... Artest is a huge upgrade over any other player we have right now at that position... if he's going to use that type of reasoning to get a guy like Zach, then go all the way with it & go after Artest & really see if this team can do anything in the playoffs next year.

at this point i say we should offer up Curry, D Lee & Malik for KG on top of going after Artest... mine as well go all in on the starphuchs & put together a team with a chance to actually win something.
