Portland is trying to package their two high second rounders (#37 and #42) with 3 million dollars in cash to move into the late teens or early 20’s. Morris Almond is one player they supposedly like. The Trailblazers wouldn’t confirm that to us in a conversation we had with one of their front office members, but he did assure us that they “plan on being active.” Portland was linked by a few teams to a trade that would move Zach Randolph to the Knicks for Channing Frye and Malik Rose (who must opt-into his contract first), but the same source acted surprised when we mentioned this to him.


That move would not only F the cap up but wow would Zach and Curry be the worst defensive front court in NBA history.

That move makes no sense. Whats the point of having 2 post players on offense? Neither would get the amount of shots they want and both would be very unhappy.. not to mention the absolute horrid defense that would be on display.

Zach Randolph will make the situation worse. He is a bad influence. Wish Malik Rose had talent.

The main reason I say no to this rumored trade is because this guy isn't included in the rumor

Less than four hours before the draft, I heard that the Knicks were looking to acquire Randolph from Portland. It was uncertain what New York would be sending to the Blazers; my source believed it might be Channing Frye and Steve Francis, which would force Portland to include another player in the trade. What I can tell you is that Randolph was initially reticent about going to New York. Stay tuned.

if the plan is to get under the cap to make a run at Kobe/Lebron/D Wade in a couple years, how on earth does taking on Zach Randolph's contract make any sense whatsoever? please, say NO to Zach Randolph, for the love of God!

Perfect Isiah, get overpriced statistic mongers and then figure out how to make it fit.

Im sure any deal would have to include the perfect piece to our puzzle and that would have to be Dairy-Azz Miles.

Funny thing is that Eddy becomes the player with the highest character on the team. Fat Eddy becomes the Man!

Im sure Malik becomes the main financial piece. Portland would be nuts to bring in Francis. At least if Zach is toxic, he does it with stats. Francis is just meat now.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
