Would you pick Horford or Conley at 3? They have new jerseys so that makes me think they are going for the more marketable of the 2? Horford won a championship, but Conley was amazing in the Tourney and with PG like Paul, Parker, and Deron dominating the NBA it might make sense to pick the speedster. What would you do?

If they pick Horford then is Acie Law even better than Stoudamire?

I like Horford but I'd go with Conley, I'm real high on him and he fills a big need for them.

I'd go with Hortford and then pick up a Pg at #11 like Javaris or Acie or even trade for a guy like Jose Calderon.

tough call - PG makes the team work - it's motor.
but PF is the car...

The hawks should take the PG - even though Horford might be the better player in the long run. If they had Paul already, they could take Horford and be done with it.

It would stupid to take a point guard when Law and Jarvis will be there at 11. I think isiah did that he would be on Fords S-lst for the rest of the season. They should take Javaris at 11.

The Hawks are going to have 2-3 lottery picks at every position someday and still miss the playoffs. Didnt they just draft a pf high last year? Havent they taken like 3-4 sfs in the lottery as well?

If they don't draft a PG, they'll be officially renamed to the Atlanta Forwards.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

there's a huge difference between Conley versus Law and J.C.

The have a 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 17th pick on the fronline and still could use a Starting Center and/or PowerForward................... Horrible doesn't come to telling you how bad the Hawks picks have been.

If I was the Hawks I'd give upon the draft and start trading for sure things like they did in Joe Johnson. They have drafted lottery pick after lottery pick and have no all stars to show for any of them.

If they took Horford over Conley, I'd consider Stuckey over Law/J.C.

They should go with Conley. Isn't Horford roughly the same player as Shelden Williams?

The hawks for some reason have chosen back up pg's speedy claxton, tyrone Lue and Anthony Johnson, so that tells me their motto is to have a veteran running the team. The problem is neither one is an NBA starter.

So Atlanta will trade for Luke Ridnour for the #11 pick to get fan support(white guy) and with the #3 pick take Horford
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Lol I doubt ridnour would help with fan support but maybe NCAA Champion Horford (35th forward) will.

You look at their team and its all Wing players. If they can take Horford/Crittendon, or Conley/Wright,Thornton then you'd think that they would be much improved.

Law is a great player, but I don't know if he's a good backcourt tandem with Joe Smith. The other players would never touch the ball.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Have you looked at the attendence in Atlanta, the audience is mostly black , by taking ridnour that alone brings more caucasians to the games especially as a pass 1st pg.

They were retarded for not taking Paul. Acie law is not a pass first point. Conley is a great slasher and great passer. The hawks need that type of playmaker to balance the team out. Conley is the best available any they would be freakin stupid if they don't pick him.

They will take hortford. They already have shelden who played well down the stretch and they have smith and Marvin. Doesn't matter.

Worst run franchise in the NBA. They will win the championship in 2009 if not sooner. That's how it works in this league. All the stupid mofos have all the luck, then get on TV and pretend to be running a class organization. Fuck the hawks!
