Listen (Tuesday, June 26): With the Knicks' seriously considering drafting DePaul forward Wilson Chandler, Andrew Marchand went one-on-one with Chandler's coach, Jerry Wainwright. Wainwright tells Marchand that Chandler is a better athlete than Tim Duncan, whom Wainwright coached at Wake Forest. (6:46).
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

There are a minimum of 3 guys on every team's bench who are better athletes than Duncan. What difference does it make?

not many players in the game more skilled than Tim Duncan though, which is what sets him apart from the rest.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Listen to the interview Tim Duncan's old coach(Jerry Wainwright) describes how good Wilson Chandler is.

Click on the link and listen and tell what do you think then.

We all know how Isiah notices how great a player can be at the next level during the draft.

I'm impressed !

Chandler would be just like most of Isiah's other picks. A backup role player.

Frye is the best big in the draft, We already have a lottery pick in Morris, Balkman was going to be taken by the Suns, Ariza would have been a lottery pick, Eddy Curry would have been the best player in the draft....

Have to trust Isiah on this one he usually is spot on with his words

I can see #22 Wilson Chandler game developing to a Rasheed Wallace

Better driving ability than frye with shot blocking and the ability to knock down long jumpshots

Isiah said he would have taken Frye with the first pick that year.

The guy is 6-6 maybe 6-7

Physicals:
H: 6' 8" still growing
W: 210 lbs
Bday: 5/10/1987
(20 Years Old)
Positions:
Current: SF/PF
NBA: SF
Most of the intrigue surrounding Chandler stems from his build and athleticism. His impressive wingspan allows him to play bigger than he is, potentially in the post. He is able to elevate and explode over many opponents. His versatility and smooth feel for the game make him a dangerous player on the wing. Few other wing players at the college level can match Chandler’s combination of size and athleticism. His perimeter shooting improved dramatically this year, to the point where he is a real threat from beyond the arc. Has a tremendous amount of upside.

You know, if Isiah would have taken Marcus Williams last yr, Taking Chandler this year wouldn't be such a bad idea. Chandler is a great athlete, who can get up and down the floor in a hurry and finish extremely well. But those type of players need crafty PG's running along side them ( a la Marion out in Phoenix)

Not so sure Marbury is the type of pg that can bring the best out of Chandlers game.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
