knicks_reject_lee_&_crawford_trade_for_top_10_pick/

The Knicks are also said to be fond of Daequan Cook, a 6-5 shooting guard from Ohio State. Thomas has sent signals that he would not draft another big man, which would rule out some of the other players being linked to the Knicks, including Glen Davis of Louisiana State and Sean Williams of Boston College.

Thomas seems comfortable with his big-man rotation of Curry, Lee, Frye and Randolph Morris, whom the Knicks signed — through a loophole —out of Kentucky in March.

There is a chance the Knicks could trade up in the draft, but they have already rejected at least one offer to move into the top 10. (Doing so would have cost them Lee and another key player, possibly guard Jamal Crawford.)

My guess is the Bobcats.

Unsubstantiated. I mean they didn't even name the other team nor what pick number. Obviously #5 would much different than #10, per say. So tough to make any judgment.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

If it were the Bobcats and I could somehow be assured that Conley would be there, I'd do it for him and Morrison and a future pick. That way we have a franchise caliber point guard, a fake franchise caliber center, a shooter, another pick in the fold to couple with some dead weight to fill other needs.

Would like to know who this team was. Another player had to be coming back to us aswell.....BTW, I guess Craw does have some trade value.

I'd consider those 2 for Horford and a 2nd round pick

could this have been a PR move to make Lee feel better?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

that means the #3 pick in the draft. I'd do it for Horford, but we lose any explosive scoring potential from the knicks. We'd run into the same problem as last year when Craw went down:

1) Nobody to score from the guard spot (Marbs took over a few games scoring, but we won none)
2) No one with the same on-court chemistry to feed curry when it mattered, ON the court.

I think Lee knows the deal. He's wanted and needed but in talks of Kobe, KG he is going. Anyone else, he should stay put. What's good is he said he wants to stay here, lets hope that stays the same come contract time.

Maybe, maybe not. We would still keep that 23 pick(Cook, Almond, Afflalo, Marcus Williams) and still draft a guy like Dimitrius Nichols, Trey Johnson, Lasme, Jared Jordan) in the 2nd round.

I agree about the Crawford-Curry thing though. I am really concerned about the effect ditching Craw would have on our center.

If this is true, what are the odds of moving Craw in a package to get G Wallace in a sign and trade?

this rumor was also probably planted by the knicks trying to drive up some values for draft night.

So dj if rumor true you think that team was Charlotte? That's really the only team I think it could have been where I SAY UGH doesn't rat out the source.

IF the rumor is legitimate, and that's a big "if", then i only see charlotte as the main suspect.

but i still think this was leaked by isiah to drive up his own players value.

I know. I didn't say we did. The 2nd rounder I was referring to was in answer to the question of who in this draft would people trade Lee and Crawford for.
