I know the Knicks are a long shot in landing any of these stars in the off season..But in a perfect
world where a three team deal can be made with a team that covets some of our young players,
which player would give the Knicks a better chance of winning..Who would be a better fit with
Marbs and Curry?..I'm personally leaning towards KG because he will be more of a team player
and I would love to see Curry continue to develop...Kobe would bring the buzz and could instantly make
the Knicks one of the better teams in the east...Kobe is three years younger with less milage..KG
brings less baggage..Man this is a tough one..I'll go with KG though..It's better for the team..

I think we should trade for Amare and Nash instead. I know Nash is older and Amare has the injury problems, but if they threw in Marion, I'd take the risk.

Dolan should buy Suns and move them to NY
He can give up Knicks for charity... to get some tax break as I get for my old Buick...

I'd go with KG because we can theoretically give up Curry in that deal.

KG adds some shot blocking ability.

Why would we want to do that? I would think we'd want to give KG a guy who could take some of the heat of playing center off his hands. KG doesn't really play a lot of low post, he's more mid and high post. I'd rather send our other young Forwards and others.

I didn't say want- I said potentially you could include Curry in a deal.

I'd rather trade curry & keep Lee with KG- that's just my opinion- that a player like Lee makes stuff happen vs. curry who really needs to be spoon fed on offense to do anything.

those guys are all stars in their prime. Usually not the type of players Isiah targets.

Thinking of what kg does makes me wanna stab channing Frye in the face. Knicks need channing to hit the outside jumper night in and out. They need channing to be able to read the defense and put it on the floor and make a play. They need him to be a factor in the high post. They need channing to crash the boards and be a factor with the help defense. They need channing to have some testicles. Kg does all that within the flow of the game. Knicks probably could use him more than kobe right now. With curry on the rise kg could get a rest for the last few years of his career. Knicks would have to keep craw in my opinion. Balkman would look great between kg and curry. With marbs and craw, the knicks would be a force to recon with.

Thing is Minnesota and mchale are some bitch ass mofos. They have totally raped kgs career. They refuse to let the guy go even though they have clearly made a commitment to rebuilding. KG is an honorable man he will play his contract out and play his heart out regardless. That's what separates kg from kobe.

Funny **** with this topic is either way you go, the knicks end up looking like the spurs. Kg would make them look like the duncan/d-rob teams and kobe makes the knicks look like the current duncan/parker/gino club.

"Kobe or KG" would make a good poll, but I can't bring myself to start another Kobe thread on this board as there are like 35 of them already.

KG is the better fit, but Kobe is the better talent w/the proven resume in big games... i'd much rather have Kobe if we had a choice in the matter.

They are both good fits. One is the outside threat we need, the other is a PF with balls.

bottomline, we need a superstar player regardless of how he fits this team.

KG is better player for any team.
Kobe needs specific supporting cast which we don't have.
KG will be good with what we have.
Give him Lee, mardy, balkman, Craf, Fry, and he will meke a difference.
he can even put Stephan/Steve ass..es in right place. And slep eddy accross his fat as..s if Eddy will not play defense.
We have enough primadonnas - we need A PLAYER.

we can do this all day long... if Layden hadn't made the McKnee trade & drafted Amare Stoudamire that year, where would our franchise be right now? it's a pointless argument.

That just highlights that the organization almost always has made the wrong decisions since Dolan took over.
