YES! He's one of the very few available players I would trade D Lee for.

Absolutely. Is this even a question? He'd easily be the best player on our team, regardless of who we give up in return. That may be why we're not in Matrix rumors -- we aren't likely to get him, since we don't have the talent, nor expirings.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You're right, actually. I just looked at the salaries. Since we don't have any expirings, we'd have to throw in too much overpaid junk to match salaries.

No- because he doesn't get us over the hump- so what give up anything to add his contract @ his age to our team that realistically is 3-5 years out from being in contention for anything beyond an 8 seed.

If there were some way that we could have Curry, Lee, Matrix on the same team, I think we're considerably higher than an 8th seed. Personally, I'm confident that wins the division. But as I said earlier, I don't see how we'd get him, so it's irrelevant.

Maybe Curry, Malik, and Balkman would get us the Matrix. We'd kill everyone in rebounding with Lee and Marion on the same team and that's 35 PPG without one play having to be called for those two.

I don't doubt that Marion and Lee would be tremendous, but the problem with that thinking is I think there is only so much room on one team for 'scrappy' points. I think one of the reasons Jeffries did better in the later part of the year is he was able to make the plays that lee would have made.

That is a good point. Marion can still score from 3 pt range, though, and his best quality is his defense anyway.

I don't think Marion solves any of our problems. He is an excellent sidekick type player but we still don't have that #1 guy that we can rely on and build a team around. Attaining Marion without that main cornerstone would just hamper that process.

I think anyone would love to have Marion, but I think Isiah would celebrate the guy as the savior of the team, and THAT MUCH unfair pressure would fall onto the guy, when in fact, as nyk4ever says, he's a great second best player, or 3rd best player, who can also contend to be defensive player of the year.

lol ... I hope you were kidding around.

Franco partially made my point... you can't just add two similar players stats together when they play on the floor at the same time. One of them will get the rebound and the other won't.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The problem is, we'd have no other reliable offensive players. Matrix will do something now and then, but you'd see how limited offensively he is when there's no Steve Nash. I'm not even knocking him. He's just not a huge offensive player. Marbury's gonna be gone soon and he's a, what, 42% field goal shooter and Crawford is just 40%. It's a very poor offensive team, and to me, while they say defense wins championships, so does a good offense.

Marion would be a nice player to pair up with LeBron. Cleveland should try their best if he's available...

Matrix is at his best playing in an uptempo offense. He'd probably still be good otherwise, but we're never going uptempo here as long as we have Curry.

though the matrix is probably one of the most underrated players in the league and one of the best sf, his age, limited offensive abilities and durability is questionable.

Marion was an 18 to 20 PPG scorer before he played with Nash. We have ZERO good two way players. ZERO. Lee is the only player I'd have any concerns about trading for Marion and that's only because of the age difference but they're never gonna do a legitimate rebuild here anyway. So as might as well get a good player to at least make the team slightly worth watching.

One will rebound and the other won't? Is that how it worked with Ewing and Oakley? Marion and Amare this year actually? Duncan and Robinson?

Thanks; I didn't even see your reply before I replied. He's one of the most versatile players in the league.
