what the deal basically comes down to is expirings (what we used to get crawford) + lottery pick for sheed.

that's not a good deal. maybe 3 summers ago, but not now.

there probably are better deals out there for Crawford & Frye- Agreed- if you don't extend sheed- not a bad deal money wise...

No, too much for Sheed. Maybe Crawford and Frye, for Sheed and the pistons 1st round draft pick. Now that would be a decent deal for both teams.

This team needs to start rebuilding with players who are young *and* versatile (not merely one of the two). This trade doesn't help that cause. If we're gonna lose Frye and Jamal, I'd want at least one player (even a mid 1st rd pick) who could fit those qualities. Rasheed is already almost over-the-hill and he'll be walking with a cane before the Knicks are contenders anyway.
