it's currently a 40+ page thread but there's a poster there, TBpup on the portland realgm board who's actually an insider and has posted legitimate stuff before they were announced (so he's apparently legit)

basically, what he's saying is that a deal has been agreed to between the blazers and an eastern conference team. he doesn't reveal anything else but hints at them possibly acquiring another #1 pick in this draft.

portland fans are going nuts and excited with anticipation.

the speculated deals with the most support include:

jack to the hawks for #11
zach to the nets for rj + #17
a deal with the bulls that include #9 (presumably for zach)

confirmed by the poster is that the deal does not include aldridge or roy.

this rumor was also somewhat shot down: andre miller + korver + #12 for zach + jack

I think the Hawks deal is the one that is the truth. The Blazers are more interested in reacquiring Steve Blake. They can probably sign him for slightly less than the MLE if they give him some yrs. The Blazers have a myriad of options on the table.

I think Billy Knight's tenure in Atlanta will officially be over if all he can get for the 11th pick is Jarret Jack. I know JJ would be going home but I think Hawk fans as well as myself want something more than Jack for that pick. I rather go after Miller with that pick. No way does Thorn give up the 17th pick and Jefferson for problem child. The Bulls trade makes sense.

That's a given. Luva loathes every team which Isiah has helped in their rise. Anyone else find it odd that every team Isiah deals with makes massive improvements, or sustained dominance? Bulls, Suns, Spurs, Raptors, etc... Because of Luva's blinded love for Isiah and all things Knicks, he rarely is objective. When he even comes close, it's still spun in a very sugarcoated way. So, I couldn't care less what he thinks; he's wrong repeatedly. This would be just another example.

Maybe. Zach can't pass out of the double team or play defense. He'd help with floor spacing but I don't think he'd make his teammates better. He's basically a better rebounding and shooting Eddy. His teammates might just get frustrated with never getting the ball back after it goes in to him. The only advantage of going after Zach is that it wouldn't take much to get him. But the Bulls have built such a good foundation by getting versatile, two-way players. I don't think now is the time to deviate from that approach.

This does effect the knicks cuz zach Randolph would have to play the knicks 4 times in the east. If he goes to a good team them that's trouble for the knicks.

What does this got to do with Knicks? Shouldn't this be on NBA board?

Yup. It's offseason too and that's what our forums lean towards. No big deal. Some of the OT stuff is whack, but this is good.

rumors out of boston have them moving the #5 + ratliff (+ possibly west) for marion + #24 + #29

what's there at #5 that warrent giving up marion and 2 picks? Wow, PHO is having a super sale.
