DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

No brainer:
Player A - better defense with more STL and rebounds

Player B because Crawford can take over games and with the right coaching, he can be a successful combo guard on a playoff team.

But if you think stats are everything or if you think stats are the only way to compare players, you would probably make a lot of incorrect choices.

Oh is B Crawford? Then I'll have to say A as Jamal has proven uncoachable. Who's A anyway?

So you consider yourself an authority on deciding players that are "proven uncoachable" or not. Or is this just your opinion?

I'll second that- slightly lower assists vs. b, but I assume this isn't a pg we're talking about.

Player B gets one more assist and a slightly higher FT%, whereas player A is better in all other aspects of the game. It's not even close.

You can look at their PERs, which is the best overall statistical evaluation of players. Jamal is at 15.8 and Ron is at 20.3. That's a gigantic difference.

And player b never does anything on defense gives up a ton of easy points, and creates transition baskets with his poor shooting and selfish behavior

No contest talent-wise. My only question of Artest has been attitude. Like I've said in the past, I think Artest could succeed in NY if you surround him with positive attitudes and no other toxic personalities on the team. He needs a positive environment so there's accountability and his misbehavior isn't the norm.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

No doubt, Solace. For whatever reason, Ron was on his best behavior under Thomas. According to Isiah it was stressful to deal with Artest but Ron seem to have benefited. Like him or not, Thomas does seem to have a calming effect on his players. I always blamed Thomas for not reaching out to Artest to talk to him after he fired from the Pacers. Unfortunately, Artest needs that in his life.

Yes, Player A is Arty, B Crawford.

Offensively, they're pretty much identical.

Defensively we all know Artest is far, far ahead of Crawford, but let's keep in mind also his antics, and the fact that Curry loves Crawford...

Then again......Artest's contract is shorter.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
