Kobe was on with LA sports radio. he says he was promised before resigning that management's intention was to be aggressive in retooling to win again ASAP and it wasn't until well after the fact that he was informed that the intention is to go slow with a 5 or 6 year plan to get under the cap.

Says he's always been a die-hard laker fan and wants to remain a Laker, but he's disappointed that 3 years in they're still at square one and it's eroded trust. Feels that West is a all-time great GM and you have to explore the possibility of bringing him back.

Says he didn't force Shaq out, that in light of his age management didn't want to meet his contract demands and wanted to get value for him while they could. Says he's shouldered the blame for that for 3 years without defending himself.

Said Baron, Boozer and Artest all expressed to him that they wanted to come to LA and he wanted them but management didn't pull the trigger - because of injury risk with Baron, because Boozer "can't guard PFs" etc.

That's really about it. Mostly frustration about promises made and then the plan being changed after he signed.

You didn't have much to say after leaving the hotel in Colorado.

Hmm.... I guess the Lakers are on the Knicks 7 year plan too. LOL, subtitle to that interview. "F Bynum, go get J-Kidd. What's a matter with you?" I hear you Kobe.

Kobe is like the anti-hero. He does almost everything you could think of to make you dislike him. He's egomanical to the extent of hindering his team' success.

Why because he wants them to get better players to get them a real shot going after the Suns, Spurs, Mavs and now the Jazz and Warriors. Why because maybe he is mystified with Laker management fascination in keeping Andrew Bynum rather than trading him for a Hall of Fame point guard. Even Phil Jackson pretty much called Kupcake and Buss liars when they didn't trade Bynum. I will say it again for Kobe. "F Bynum. Who is this kid anyway. This guy ain't going to be Shaq stop dreaming! Go get Kidd. What's a matter with you. Bring back Jerry, these clowns don't have a clue."

True, I don't know what all your OMGs were about. With the way you overhyped these podcasts I expected them to prove something awful about Kobe, but for the most part they show him in better light than you did in your other thread.

Buchler essentially confirmed Kobe "took the bullet" on the Shaq trade. he said Shaq didn't want to play where kobe had as big a contract as him, and LA didn't want to be in the boat Miami is now with an aged Shaq owed huge money. Kobe's decision on where to go was independent of Shaq.

West left because Buss' son was usurping his power. West brought in Kobe, not the Buss child, so Lil' Buss gets no credit for Kobe, his legacy is to be Bynum so he's treating him like gold. However, with injuries to Odom and Kwami he's their only tradable asset. Kidd was on the doorstep but they didn't pull the trigger. Ditto Baron, Boozer and Artest, all of who wanted to play in LA, and who Kobe wanted. So rather than going for it with Kobe they've seemingly signed him on the eve of a rebuild. That's bad basketball for everyone.

So the Buss family ostracizes West, use the daughter to pull Phil around by his penis, promise Kobe to win now and then decide to rebuild instead, and you wonder why Kobe distrusts management? he could have gone to Phoenix, Chicago, Clippers etc, and been going deep into the playoffs and instead he's d!cking around with Smush, Kwami and Odom - three of the softest tissues you could never want to play with.

MVP players can get a max contract anywhere, they don't sign on expecting to spend eternity in some surreal Garnett-like gulag.

*sniff* I cry for men like Kobe Bryant great players who have to suffer the indignity of restraints that us mere mortals have to endure. Playing with such a inferior cast of fat kids, Fordham drop-outs, soft 6'11 forwards. How dare you suspend him for his one night in the Garden Ginobolli oh the humanity! Finally a man this great shouldn't have to hear any lip from the concierge when he tells her to bend over the table as a matter of fact she better be sending a thank you note in the mail.

Blue we'll just agree to disagree that's not how I saw the interview. There are about 3 things that show his low character in the interview. You didn't pick up on them.
