If so, do the Knicks have a shot? I think Aldridge would be a better fit with Lee and Curry than Frye. If we could move Frye, do you take Aldridge?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think Aldridge can play PF in this league. Zach is the person more likely to go due to his lack of defense and past problems. If they decide to keep Zach, then Aldridge will be the backup PF/C for the team. Either way, I don't think they are rushing to trade Aldridge.

They will dump Randolph. The only fear is Oden/Aldridge is not the next Chandler/Curry. Granted hindsight is easy to say they are not, but Tyson/Eddy were seemed as no lose prospects.

Portland is rebulding pure youth. This might dispell the notion that it can't be done anymore. They may be the new model.

Having Oden helps, its a no brainer. Easier than Marvin Williams to decide on!

Not *for* Frye. I meant if we could move Frye to another team, or work out a three way trade.

Portland absolutely loves Aldridge about as much as Roy. You have to keep in mind Nate McMillan is a calming influence in that organization and even if there were whispers of sacrificing the blue chippers, no way he allows it.

I think they would see if Alridge and Oden can work together before they would make a trade. Unless something great came their way.

I'd get rid of Z-Bo LOOOOONG before I ever get rid of Aldridge.

I don't know if this was a factor or not, but didn't Aldridge have some kind of heart condition and Portland sat him down at the end of the yr.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Portland recent draft history:
2007 1 Greg Oden
2006 2, 6 Aldridge, Roy
2005 6 Webster
2004 13 Telfair

Can somebody bar them from getting a lottery pick next year, please?
I think they've had more than their fair share!

Does Aldridge have a chronic heart problem or not? "Rapid heartbeat." He had surgery of some sort to correct it.

I wouldn't trade Aldridge, not in a million years. I would ship out Zach Randolph, he's the only bad apple left on that roster and theres no reason to keep him around to be a cancer to Greg Oden, Aldridge, and Roy.

From Wikipedia:

Aldridge was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome on April 9, 2007 and will miss the rest of the 2006-07 NBA season. He is expected to make a full recovery.

I think Portland might be a lock for the playoffs especially if they can sign rashard Lewis.

Zach, Lewis, oden, Roy, and big head is a pretty impressive starting 5. Even if they don't get Lewis and stuck Travis outlaw or miles there they look to be formidable. Webster might wake up finally as well.

Niiice!

with Oden, they probably have the best young core in the NBA now. all of the draft-day trades they were doing last year suddenly seem a lot better.

Optimism appeared in Portland the day they got away from targeting questionable attitudes and potential and instead focusing on guys with great attitudes and work ethic. It beats potential everytime.
