1. Josh Smith rumored to not get along with teammates.

2. Hawks have plethora of forwards

3. Hawks management sucks; an offer of Frye, Collins, 23, & Fut. 1st MIGHT entice if Smoove pushes the envelope and Zeke works his magic.

4. Randolph Morris = good friends with Smith from H.S.

5. Curry >= Okur
Lee<Boozer
J. Smith = AK47
QRich >= Harpring
Marbury <= Deron

Throw in Malik Rose: Milsap, James: Collins, Nate: Dee Brown, etc, etc.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Josh smith had a problem with his attitude dating back to his HS days here in Georgia, people in this town know the deal with this kid, that is why a lot of Hawks fans that I know were not too happy with him from the start... Hawks have some good guys on that team, a good coach and a front office that stays out of the way and he has problems in Atlanta? geez, he would implode in NY..

I think we have enough knuckleheads on board. If we're so adamant to bring one in, let it be Ron Artest. At least his insanity is entertaining.

Deron has a ways to go before hes better than Steph, but I like him alot, he has the potential to be very special.

killa are you serious about deron v. steph? other than jason kidd i'd say deron has played the best point of anyone in the playoffs. dude runs the pick and roll sooooooooooo well.

regardless, i'm all for getting josh smith. not sure what the deal w/ the hawks management is but that guy has serious talent. he'd be HUGE in NYC.

Deron better than Steph?? Put down that stuff man, drugs are bad for ya.

Also, keep Collins because as good as Steph is, we have a real point guard of the future there.

He might play very well in their system but Deron is not better than Marbury.

deron is a 2nd year player.
and he's the pg of a team with no superstar and they are in the wcf's.

he's a special player.

#1 need for the hawks is a top flight starting pg.

if they don't grab conley, a possible deal for them would be to trade josh smith for tj ford.

I like Stephon--but Deron Williams is a better player now and perhaps he is a better player then Steph has ever been. Take a very hard look at where the Jazz are and where Steph's teams have been in his career. Deron's numbers are not far off from Steve Nash. And while they have good frontcourt players--horrible backcourt--he absolutely carries that team.

WE have enough attidude players here. Why bring in any more?

Zeke can bring him in, extend him then send him to his taylor.

Deron is in the conf. finals. His team won a game 7 on the road and they had an easy time with GS who knocked off a 67 win team. Deron has done more this year than Steph has in his whole career. Playing in Utah has kept him underwraps. He does not cloth the income challanged in style, nor have his own talkshow. But he can carry his team in his sophmore year.

He is very impressive on the court. Love to see him on Oprah!

I don't know about Curry being better than Okur. Okur put up better #s on a 55 win team and earned an all-star spot. Spreading the offense like he does is invaluable also. Deron wouldn't be able to penetrate as much and Boozer wouldn't have as much space in the low-post without Okur's presence.

I don't think he's a better scorer than Steph was in his prime but he's a better overall player than Steph was then because Deron puts his team first, plays harder on defense, and doesn't have personality issues that disrupt the team. I actually think Steph could have had a borderline hall-of-fame career if he didn't have a lousy, disruptive personality and attitude.

I don't believe these straight-on comparisons. Individual production may make 1 player better than the next but it throws out it's team and D and whatever else context.

Deron Williams is actually putting up stephon marbury numbers. Marbs was doing 20 and 8 for the first 8 years of his career. Marbs never had the type of talent he has now. When he did he met the spurs and almost single handedly beat them. That spurs team won the title.

We always go through this. Marbs is a hard ass for no reason, but he was the 2nd best point guard for 8 years right behind kidd as far as numbers.

Bad luck. Marbs left KG and the bad luck followed him. All his teams were injured all the time except that suns team for one year.

Deron may eventually have a more successful career than marbs as time goes on but to say the kid is better already is not fair.

And Dominique was the second best player behind Jordan for a long time too.... didn't amount to much.

Can we stop calling losing in 6 games to almost beating someone?

And when a PG is "single handedly" taking on a team it's usually not a good sign. Play big in a big game? Sure. Try to take over a series? Time to get a guy that players call a "real PG".
