The fix is in. Has been in for a while. Nobody paid attention to the signs.

Golden State's facsimile of Stephon Marbury? - The much maligned, and well-travelled Baron Davis... playing with a purpose and something to prove.

Renaldo Balkman or Matt Barnes? I'll gladly take Renaldo thank you very much... and he's just a rookie

Now here come's the fun part. Center? oh yeah, David Lee of course(Eddy Curry as sixth man).. don't be surprised if the Knicks draft a center or tall forward. You heard it here first.

Other guard - if we could hire Dr Frankenstein to graft Allan Houston's jumper into Mardy Collins DNA...

Stephen Jackson stunt man? A tough one. Where you gunna find a forward with range, hops, intensity and enough unpredictible edge to put a skootch of fear in the hearts of opponents? The Knicks are a fluid tall (6.9 plus) forward (Jermaine) away from the next step.

Piece of cake

As we stand today vs. Warriors they are much better outside shooters!

With Eddy, we have a low post player. In that series it did not matter, but in the long run it does.

Nalod - no doubt, the Warriors shooting is superior. But who is to say that David Lee and Renaldo can't improve their tragic outside shooting percentages?

Mardy Collins is s quick study and Clyde wants to be his tutor. That can't be a bad thing.

Our guys are still babies.

Their guys have perservered. The Golden State core players have battled both on and off-court issues... and I love a good story.

who sez the Knicks can't have a happier 2008?

caseloads - not bad. Especially since the Celtics are loaded at springy forward.

good call on Ricy Davis. Just enough edge to make people uncomfortable.

can we get him to lose the headband and get Eddy Curry to shave his head? I've grown weary of the cornrow look.

I love comparison type posts. We see somting and compare to our team.

We have nothing that compares to Jason, Jax AND Harrington as a core. The rest are role players.

Knicks are not coached in such a manner that would promote that kind of run, nor are we built for it.

Knicks should draft Spitter. That would be a start.

Nalod - you know you have a point. I totally slept Jason Richardson.

Damn. Now I gotta start all over.

With that said, the manner in which the Knicks are coached is still to be determined by the feisty coach in only his second year on the bench in New York. I suspect even the despised Isiah Thomas learned a few valuable lessons about his team from a spot closer than the tunnel.

Those lessons included Mardy stepping in and growing right before his eyes, Renaldo having fun and Channing Frye in need of a hug.

Tiago Splitter?

I'm widit.

stay tuned

the only comparison I could hope for is that GS finally meshed and started to play as a unit.

But, I don't think our players match up talent wise.

Now- if we could get a Ron Artest, the situation might change.

LOL, your comparison end right there. Biddy is ten times the leader and point Guard Dudbury is. It would be like trying to make a Cake with no Flour, trying to get Mebury to be what Baron Davis is to the Warriors system.

And I think the biggest point is the warriors aren't going to beat any of the good teams any way.

diddy's been in the league for 8 years.

he's made the playoffs every year except 2: the year he was traded to gs and last season.

in those 6 playoff appearances, his team advanced 3 times.

don't have anybody like that on the roster.

misterearl, certainly phrases things in a more positive light than m,e but the fact that we're still asking ourselves what direction the offense should go, and realizing we really don't have the necessary components to play any style particularly well, and we've yet to see our marque players mesh to any degree, lands this conversation squarely in the haters domain.

Carry on...

You want to put money on the fact that they are in the conference finals, they will blow houston off the floor. Yao is a big soft dud, did you see milsap guarding him last night. The Rockets would be lucky to lose in six games....

Comparing Marbury who has accomplished nothing in the league to Baron Davis should get you banned for a week earl. You have now cemented the fact that you have no concept of the game. Davis is a leader and a playmaker. Davis nearly took the Hornets past the nets in kidds first year and was looked at as an mvp guy, and if mashburn didn't get injured i think they would have had a good chance at the finals

We just invested our last two drafts and years into Frye and Lee. We signed Jefferies 6-11 PF Morris 6-11 PF we already have Malik Rose 6-7 rugged PF balkman is a hybrid PF--so we need another PF????????

>>And I think the biggest point is the warriors aren't going to beat any of the good teams any way

Anji - correct me if I'm wrong, but did the Warriors just beat the team with the best record in the league?

djsu - BDavis and Marbury are not so much different in their skill-sets. Baron smiles a lot more. Is baron what one would consider a shoot-first point guard?

BlueSeats - you say potato and I say potatoe, let's call the whole thing off.

MS - unlike your self-annointed Basketball expert status, I make NO claimor pretense to being any type of authority on the subject of hoops. I'm just a fan dude. get over yourself. If you want to spend your screen space telling me how much of an idiot I am, have at it. But I have news for you. I won't stop the music.

Briggs - I wans't speaking from the perspective of need. I was simply speaking from the perspective of style.

Styles make fights. De LaHoya in a controversial split decision.
