Dont say Corey Brewer etc.. or someone really projected top 10-12 or so----if you think someone can legitimately fall--that is cool.

1. Morris Almond--I think he is another Allan Houston in game as well as character but he has a better ability to rebound and play defense. I would not pass I think he is lottery type talent and ready made to go help us win now
2.Javaris Crittenton --Not as polished as other players but I was impressed with his quickness at his size. I dont know if he is a 1 or 2 and we already have Mardy Collins but I think this league is going this way and @ 23 would represent a huge discount to where he would be drafted in a year or two meaning top 5=8. A multi-dimensional two way player with a great combination of skill size and athletic ability who looks to be a defensive force on the perimeter.
3.Dominic Mcquire---I was very impressed with what I saw of him twice last year--he stood out againbst a very good Georgia team in the NIT. He has *it> he looks like a more athletic Boris Diaw who plays both ends with true elite nba athletic ability and long arms plays hard--team player who can dribble pass very well for a 6-8 player. I know we have Balkman but I couldnt bypass this player at his size at 23 with the other 2 off the board.

Splitter, Tiago.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

BRIGGS, I never saw Almond play, but I think Enyspree was right that if he's as good as people say, does he really have a legit chance of falling pass say, #15? Just remember, Allan Houston without the defense and rebounding was selected pick #11.

I'll list two at each position, just in case we get another pick:
Stucky/Almond
Splitter/Williams

Both Splitter and Williams have a way to go as far as well rounded games, Tiago not as far, but they bring some strong defense in the form of shotblocking.
Stucky more of a scorer but shoots well and think he would help, as would Almond.

I feel like one of the following will fall to the Knicks: Derrick Byars, Morris Almond, Marco Belinelli, Acie Law, Tiago Splitter, Thadeus Young.

The Knicks have so many holes, I'll just take the best player available. I would like to trade up to take Mike Conley Jr. I have him as the fifth best player on my draft board:

1. Oden
2. Durant
3. Brewer
4. Horford
5. Conley Jr.

Briggs - admirable, but consensus ain't the objective.

with all due respect, the objective is to make one smart selection that will be the best compliment to the core of NYK yoots in 2008

Avis Wyatt

Sean Williams

Jason Smith

I don't really get the obsession w/ Sean Williams. I know he was a big time shot blocker at BC but the guy has some SERIOUS character issues, as badly as I want an athletic powerforward, I would not put much faith in this guy at all.

Marcus Williams, Bellinelli, Almond are all decent picks at 23. I'd prefer to trade Frye and maybe Curry to move up.

If you can make a play for Conley, Brewer or Law, I think you have to dangle some of our parts and make it happen.

conley is a small point - if anything, bigger points are needed in todays NBA. Smaller points get abused regularly in my opinion.

It's plausible that Sean Williams would have been a top 5-8 lottery pick if he didnt have those issues. Of course @ 23 he could be considered a steal or on the flip side== Eddie Griffin part 2. You dont want to count a 21 year old out of life. The NY Knicks will have much more info on this than anyone here--well maybe I shouldnt say that since they all are here:) He's probably the best shot blocker to come into the draft since ok4.

conley is a small point - if anything, bigger points are needed in todays NBA. Smaller points get abused regularly in my opinion.

Chris Paul dominates the league and he's smaller than Conley. AI is primetime and TJ is tough to deal with. Raymond Felton looks like he might be a player as well.

Its a matter of deciding whether, in this case, a height disadvantage outweighs superior offensive skill. In my opinion, it doesn't -Conley has the skills and quickness to be an elite point guard. Being 6' 1" instead of 6' 2" isn't a significant drawback.

I like crittendon here at GA Tech. I think he needs another year of college, but we have a lot of guards, and this kid is a talent, bring him along slowly, if he shows he is NBA ready now, then it is a steal for us..

Almond= Good shooter, love his size and the fact that he seems to be able to help out on the boards

Marcus Williams= 6'7 can play both guard positions, is a good passer and really understands the game.

Sean Williams= shot-blocking, help defender.

Rodney Stuckey= Combo guard. Big-time playmaker. 6'4 version of Nate. Maybe not as athletic though.

(Would take Thaddeuos Young before any of them but I doubt he'll be available.)

Isiah knows the guy he drafts must be mature in order for the knicks to attempt to turn the corner with this youth movement.

Frye and Nate robinson need to be traded and bring on a defensive PF who rebounds and runs the floor, or if he chooses to move up in the draft.

This roster right now is full of role guys, we need a stud to , we need a miracle.

Isiah has a lot of pressure on him this upcomng draft.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
